So I tried pdib's air hole mod, and even though I did a poor job, I must say I'm very pleased with it. For the record, I prefer 5/64".

But here's a thought:

I love the way my IGO-W hits, but I hate constantly dripping. Here's the two next to each other.

Is it plausible that if I stuffed both posts in my RM2 like an IGO-W and drilled out the other side, I could get a similar vape?

Worst case scenario, I could use pdib's mod to cover up the other air hole. It just happens to line up with the 5/64". A new cap for the RM2 is already on its way.

Thoughts?

Some folks are grinding down the "turtlenecks" (the aluminum collar above the 510), at which point you can seat any atty on it. You could also just use a 510 extension adapter (but that can be problematic as you have to be careful how you screw it all together, so as not to overtighten into the 510 and cause a short or stripped threads). With the RM2, specifically, you would have to figure out how to get the juice up, since you would be blocking the squonk hole. You don't need two posts to run dual coil.

Nice work on the air ring. You're fast!

I actually bought a 510 connector with my original purchase. Is that what it's for? To use any drip atty?

I think I'm just gonna start drilling like a mad man since I have another cap on the way.

Actually, for anyone interested in buying a couple extra RM2 caps/attys, the coupon code "VAPETV" worked for me on Empiremods for 5% off.

I bought two.

And thank you!

I'm playing with the idea of playing with a Nimbus V3 (clone, but not the $6 clone); but I've gotten so used to small chamber attys, and my friend who's offering it to me, also prefers the small ones. I was gonna drill out the centerpost for juice feed and grind down the turtleneck on a REO . . . . . . . IDK. I certainly didn't like the vape off my IGO-L the last time I tried that. But I wasn't running dual coil on it. do you think dual coil compensates sufficiently for how big a Nimbus or IGO-L is, Zmauls?

Yep. So, pro'ly the safest way to double thread atty and 510 adapter is to firmly screw adapter to atty, then treat it as one unit and screw it down to the REO? Are you going to drill out the centerpost on your W and turn it into a squonkin' atty?

I didn't know that was possible. How would I go about doing that?

Simple answer; yes.

Easy...for me anyway. :p

Press out the center post. Drill a hole through the post (careful not to go too far and drill the coil screw threads out), then drill a hole on the side of the post. You don't have to use the fancy toys I did below, it's possible on a drill press if your careful & know what your doing.

There's also the method of cutting a channel the insulator that pdibz mentioned but if the IGO-w is anything like the IGO-L not sure if it's possible due to the larger dia 510 contact & seal on top.

(different atty from above but similar & shows the drilled holes)

Yeah, just do it like that ↑ . . . .. . . . . . . sheesh.

One thing I do differently than darkzero, I don't drill a hole in the side of the post. I just use the wire capture hole and nip, sand, file, or grind my screw shorter so it doesn't go deep enough to interfere with juice. Then I just capture my positive wire under the screw head.

Sorry, I try not to post machine pics much anymore lately.....well cause most people simply "can't do like that". :p

But hey, the pics are buried in this Reo forum somewhere so might as well repost them. :)

I never tire of seeing those pics. I think it's cause I'd like to be able to do that stuff but don't have the background and it's easier to live vicariously through you guys. I secretly wanna be a mech dude like DZ:)

Thanks fellers. Sometimes I feel that people hate it when I post stuff like that.....as if I'm implying, "oh that's easy, just do this". And pdibz, no I'm not talking about your post specifically a couple of posts up. I like to post WIP threads, just to share what I likes to do & all. With all the hard earned cash I dumped into buying stuff like this it is a great passion of mine. A believe me, I ain't nothin compared to many people on other forums I frequent, I'm an amateur following in other people's footsteps & learning day by day. :)

Looks like heroine, I don't like it.
