Primer? Maybe.

But back in the day what people thought was primer was actually manufacturing oils and residue.
Whether that is still the case now I don't know, but it was then.

One of the many vaping myths that used to abound.
Many of which still do.

The ones I get are seem to have pg/vp or just vg. I blow them out, sort of, before I use them. It tastes like unflavored (which I vape and does have a light flavor).

Woo hoo! Made it to the front of the thread and it only took me a week  I've turned to the dark side  this past week I've found out how soothing it can be to drip. Since I'm a flavor junkie I'm loving how quick I can change flavors. When I get bored I blow and switch (insert gutter comments here). It might be all in my head or due to vaping so many different things, but it seems like my juice is lasting longer and I'm not vaping as much, which is good considering I *might* have gone a *little* over my budget.

I love the world of flavor that has opened up. I'm tasting a lot more on my complex flavors. I thought I wasn't tasting them because of taste buds damaged by smoking. Turns out that wasn't it cause I'm finally tasting the different components now.

Thanks everyone for the words of wisdom contained in this thread :vapor:

Heh... took me a day. I got some HHV Dragon's Fire.... which I love in any case... just something as simple as a 510 bridgeless... Wow... there's some serious flavors in there. I mean, there's a butterscotch note in there that I don't quite remember nearly as strong when I ran it through my evods not too long ago. It's rich... almost like I vaped DF with a Werther's in my mouth... lip smacking good.

I'll also add that I've been fighting a case of vapor's tongue lately and getting any strong flavor out of ANYTHING was a bit of a pipe dream. I just switched over to my beloved Legend, which I haven't tasted really in a couple of weeks (sad sad weeks) and THERE you are, my white bearded friend! So this is awesome. :)

Makes me rethink my "I am all set with gear" stance. Now I am seriously considering adding an atty feeder box mod.. time to save up for a Reo Grand. :) That might go against the spirit of the thread, but I am still sold on dripping man... lets me avoid the commitment of having to fill a clearo or tank... some Legend, some Huntsman, some DF maybe Dipity (did I mention I really like HHV?)

Oh... to the dripper vets, I was thinking of picking up a bottle of unflavored 0 nic as a kind of cleaner between flavors. I've seen that from time to time... is it worth the bother? Or just clear it with a blow and switch?

Bottom feeders are totally cool here. Totally!

I'm not a vet yet, but I put some VG in an empty bottle and use it when a flavor sticks around and blowing it out doesn't quite work. I got a 6 oz bottle at Walmart for under $5.

Ah... hadn't thought of that. Good call.

You know... I mentioned this before... Gots me some VT, drove me nuts the past couple of weeks... I'm fairly new to the mail order juice world, up until May or June or so, it was the juice at a local b&m, which wasn't exactly my fav. So when i got a bottle of Legend and DF a month ago, it was like a man wandering the desert finding an oasis... :) Built up close to a couple hundred mls of HHV NETS. And *poof* no more taste. But in this last batch from HHV, I added in a 510 atty in there.. why not. Seemed like a kind of easy way to switch around..

Here's the thing.. the first fire off that atty.... it was like a switch threw... I could taste again. Now, maybe the DF (which I asked them to goose a bit) was just that strong, or my tongue is finally adjusted and healed or whatever it was... but even in my trusty evods are delivering full flavor again.

But that little black beauty will be kept in the case of honor and used generously.... Gots to gets me a few more.

I recently got a vmod XL and I don't like it. Might be user error.........

Lori,

Of the eight bottom feeders I have (five different kinds), my two Vmod 2.0s are the most finicky. I'm not sure why. Perhaps because of Vapage's two-chamber design. They work very well with the Vapage AMG slant-coil hybrid atties, but not so reliably with the various other atties I use (510s, 306s, Kanger horizontal-coil cartos modded into atties), which tend to flood when used on the Vmods.

Don't over-squonk. In fact, don't "squonk" at all. Instead, "squeenk." That is to say, with the Vmod tilted just past horizontal and slightly downward, squeeze the feed bottle with only the slightest pressure, then stop squeezing and listen for the telltale sound of air going back into the bottle to replace the juice that's been squeezed into the upper chamber. If you hear nothing, try a vape and see what happens. If necessary, squeeze again, but gingerly and carefully. Less is more. Should the atty flood (you'll know if it has because it will gurgle loudly when you draw and not produce much vapor), unscrew it and---with a tissue or Q-tip---clean out (blot) that upper chamber to remove any visible juice.

Once you get the knack of it, your Vmod should perform nicely.

Gee I used to think I was fairly fluent in English. squonk and squeenk were never part of my vocabulary before now.

Lori,

LOL. If you read through much of the Liquid Feed APV sub-forum threads, you'll quickly discover (and may have already) that "squonking" is the accepted technical slang for squeezing the juice feed bottle of a feeder mod. "Squeenking" is less common---it was coined by a poster in one of the various Vmod threads of that sub-forum to denote very gentle squonking.

I didn't make up either term.

I usually do my research but when it came to bottom feeders I didn't. I just wanted to try one over a year ago but I didn't. They offered 50% off and I jumped. To be honest I tried it, emptied it, cleaned it and reboxed it. May consider opening it again? Thanks for the translations. :)

I kind of did the same thing, minimal research, then bought one on a 50% off sale VMOD-XL. But the main difference is I haven't stopped using it since the day I got it. I absolutely cannot get enough of the flavor and ease of use. It does take some getting used to - always balancing between not flooding and not running it too lean either.

So far I've tried a couple of different attys in it and I think the slant coil hybrids form Vapage seem to feed the best - I am assuming you tired that one as it comes in the kit.

It just takes a bit of practice, but once you get the balance right, it is really good. Upside down dripping while you drive, walk around, stealth vape, work, etc. etc. is just awesome.

Go on, unpack it, give it another try and let it fulfill its only desire.
