Since there's discussion of NIMH batteries in this thread, does anyone make some in a 14500 size? Sure, voltage drop and all but I'd still like to try it out.

I'm not aware of any 4.8 volt-nominal NIMHs in 14500 size. 14mm diameter x 650mm length (400mAh) and 17mm x 650 (600mAh) are the only vaping-compatible NIMHs I've ever seen for use in PVs where 14650/18650 Li-Ions or IMRs would otherwise be used.

Those batteries are simply four 1.2 volt, 160mm long NIMHs stacked in series and then wrapped, so using only three of the 14mm diameter NIMHs rather than four would result in a 14480 battery providing 3.6 volts and 300mAh, which might not be long enough for 14500 PVs. They wouldn't provide much vaping time before needing to be recharged, either. Most 14500 Li-Ions/IMRs are about 500-600mAh in real world power, so 300mAh wouldn't last very long.

Most of the rest of the forum is like that as well.

Every once and awhile I get a pleasant feeling for starting this thread. After reading your post, I got that feeling again. How it's possible that this thread never turned south (ongoing discussion of other JDSs) is beyond me!

You just got lucky, I guess. :)

Now what's better: The .357, the Stingray or the Shifu? ;)

Never tried the Stingray -- it's yet another piece of equipment that I've had on my radar, though it never amounted to much more than a blip. The Shifu was a really good atty -- that one surprised me. I am recusing myself from 357 talks until a later date.

Ha! Since I just got my bottom feeder, I'm stuck with some Shifu's and my old J108. I'm not liking the latter on a mechanical; I find the draw too airy. I went on an atty buying spree. I've got a 357, Stingray, i06, EM 901 and a DSE 901 on order right now. I think I spent over $20.00 on shipping alone tonight. I wanna try them all! Almost grabbed a 306 from EM as well, but I didn't much care for the 306 on either my old eGo or my autos. Way too tight of a draw for me on either device.

The Shifu is really good. I've noticed almost no break-in period compared to the eGo-C I've been using for the past year. Or if they haven't broken in yet, then I'm in for a real treat.

Empire 306 or Cisco 306? I've been using Cisco atties and really enjoy them, but I'd like to buy another empire drip shield and am thinking of grabbing an atty or two to make the shipping worth it. Whatchyall think?

Hmmm...you may as well get one from EM. The EM DC 306s aren't that good though, but the others are like the rest of EM attys -- good OOTB.

Kinda a noob here, but looking to buy a couple 2.0 510 attys, looking for a reliable USA based website for a quality low cost atty. Heard mixed reviews on the Joye so any other brand suggestions would be awesome. Thanks!!
I don't think Joye makes any 2.0 atomizers, but their standard resistance atomizers are 2.3 ohms.

This looks like a 5-pack for $9.95 which is fantastic...
Joyetech 510 Atomizer 5-Pack (2.3ohm) | DigitalCiggz.com

Apparently they are only in chrome though.

I get all mine from China, so I can't be of much more help.

The default answer is often Empire Mods. Try their 510 bridgeless atty at 1.8Ω.

i'm glad I'm here I just posted about lurking and doing research instead of asking a Q but frankly I don't care about dripping enough to do the research on my own so if somebody would like to take on the task, can you explain your dripping to me? first off, I am a genny vape-er I like only needing a mod in my hand not tied to bottle etc but from my experience with the diver, chief vaper shorty LR and the good sense 306 I bought (I gave it a go atleast) I just don't get it. there is no wick above the coil typically so no storage so if too much is dripped then it is just flooded but for me it seems these cartomizers are flooded unless they are empty my 306 will litterally gurgle all flooded until I get the burnt wick taste. Is it just a 1-2 drop at a time process?

It appears digitalciggz is sold out? The availability says in stock but the orange button says did out, so rather puzzled.

And Mr.Mann you think a bridgeless is a good starting point for a first timer? Our should I bite the bullet and get a cisco spec 2.5 ?

Would really like to go with the 5 pack of of joyes but I'm thinking there sold out which is a bummer
