The KP I haven't picked up yet. I just bought a pipe and an Aurora, so I need to curb my purchases for a while. Lord knows I have plenty of stuff now, including 2 more Stingrays on the way.

I feel you. I don't allow myself to go buckwild with spending anymore, but I generally spend under $50 a month, and a few months over the last half-year I managed to not spend at all.

I appreciate the input. Being new to the forum, what vender sells the stingray? Thanks for helping me learn about the world of vapping.
When I first joined the forum, before rba's became popular, the hh.357 was seen as the king of all atomizers. Now that I have finally tried it, I can say it is a really good atomizer. Whether or not it is worth the money will depend on how long it lasts.

I just put the .357 back onto my VMod since I took tonight off. This is the third time I've used it, and in between uses I soaked it in vodka overnight. The first time I used it, the throat hit was anemic. The second time, it was a little better though still below the Stingray. This third time, the throat hit is much better than yesterday. It is unlike any atomizer I've ever tried. The draw is very open, but unless you take a very hard draw it is extremely gurgly (sp?). It's very hard to describe.

I'd say if you have $25.00 to spend on one atomizer, then go for it. But it does require several uses, at least for me, before it really starts to shine. Otherwise, stick with the Cisco or even try out a Vapage Hybrid or House of Vapor Stingray or Ikenvape.

I'm really trying to like this Stingray, but I just don't like the taste. I have it on my lowest setting. It's so hot and I feel like it sucks up a LOT of juice somehow. It seems it needs more drips sooner than my other atty, get that bad taste way sooner than I'm used to. I tried to blow it out upon receipt but nothing really came out so I'm guessing it's not a primer I'm tasting? I don't know. Maybe it still needs to just be broken in.

JRenae do you have a RDA on a mechanical yet? Are Stingrays VW/VV?

Maybe it's just too hot for you. What ohms did you get?

The Stingray is a 510 atomizer.

I just bought a Tobeco Trident V2 RDA .. C2CVaping has them for $19

Wrong thread. We don't do RBA's here. :)

What is the resistance (ohms) of the Stingray?
What is the resistance (ohms) of your other atomizer?

I'm guessing the Stingray is a much lower resistance.
And if so, it would get hotter and use juice faster than you are used to.

I'm not a fan of the cartos either. They all taste funky after a few fills.

Even if you prefer RBa's, a pre-made atty can be a good backup to have around.

I have several RDAs that I do different coil builds in. I wouldn't mind having a pre-made dripper for tasting different juices with though.

If you prefer a tight draw, get a 306. If you prefer a looser draw, get a 510. 1.5 ohms is my preference on a mechanical. But I really can't speak about other devices since I've only ever used regulated 3.7 volt batteries and mechanicals.

I highly recommend Empire Mods for someone new to pre-made atties. Get one with a sealed post so you don't leak onto your PV.

I've been using my Stingray all day and I am liking it so far. I am using it a 3.7v on my Provari (the atty is reading at 1.4Ω). So far it is performing really good for flavor, solid on vapor and less-than spectacular for TH. The lack of TH isn't VERY important, but I do prefer it.

So far, I would recommend this atty.

Really? Lack of TH? The one I have out-performs any of my other atties in TH on my mechanical. But that may be due to more flavor from my extremely strong menthol.

Glad you are liking it. Let me know how that Kidney Puncher compares. I've shelved my other atties for emergency backups. The Stingray is the only one I'm bothering with anymore. I've got 2 more sitting in my box for when this one dies.

Yeah, there is a lack of TH at a consistent output of straight-up 3.7v (I tired 3.8v but it got a little close to burnt, but then again, it is metering out at 1.4Ω). The lack of TH is not a dealbreaker or anything like that because it is definitely a solid overall performer. It was surprising to me though as it made my 30 mg EcoPure Rich feel like it was 18 mg -- and that liquid hits hard out of my trusty. Either which way, knowing about reliable atties will never be anything but good news.

I should be getting the KP today or tomorrow.

p.s. I wonder if the "sealed" version I have of the Stingray performs slightly different than the "unsealed"? Have you tried the sealed?

No. I've only ever tried the Stingray on my bottom feeder, so I never bothered with the sealed version. I imagine sealed atomizers restrict airflow, which would decrease the TH. So that may be it. One of the reasons I stayed with autos for so long was because they produced a more solid TH compared to the manuals I tried.
