You might want to contact Avid and ask them if they will do a quantity deal for you. I know of someone who buys quantities of Avid atties at Bash.

Did that awhile ago. They did tell me I would receive a discount, but it was only 15% on orders of 50 or more. They did drop the prices a $1 on the regular CS atties, so that's something, but not quite enough for me to go all in.

p.s. While I don't think I'll be ready to purchase one, they sent me an email that the next batch of the Marquis will be in soon. Still debating on what I should do.

Cisco does seem to have a strong aversion to deep discount marketing. :D

The Marquis produces excellent flavor and is as stupid easy to build as the videos show. The vertical wicking is a wee bit tricky for Ni200 builds but, other than that, I can't fault a thing about my Marquis after having used it since they first shipped. In my opinion, the months of collaboration between people with such depth of experience as well as the prototyping that was done paid off in an exceptional final product.

Of the half dozen or so experienced vapers (3–5+ years) I know who have a Marquis only one wasn't totally impressed and he was happy once he flipped the air flow holes to the front. These are vapers who have preferences that vary from 901s to relatively high power/high air flow and pretty much everything in between.

That said, the Marquis has not reduced my fondness for my HH.357s but they are very different types of vapes.

I'm sure I would love the Marquis, because I pretty much like all the same things as peraspera. I just need someone to buy one for me!

For sure. He has every reason to value his product and not liquidate it. I mean, like I said, my atties are still going strong (meaning daily usage) since last August. I'd say that's at least worth the price I paid. Of course it's a better made atty than the Joyes and should not be expected to ever be sold for pennies, but considering how the game is now, I just feel a bit like the price of them needs to come down some more -- at least on par with EM atites. Oh well, it's not like I will stop buying them, I just won't buy bulk.

As for the Marquis: I bought the Veritas when it was first released (early April last year). I was posting on rebuildable-ecigs.com and several of us on that forum bought it. The problem back then was that aside from one video by Faceless, there was no info on how best to deal with that dern thing and its issues with rebuilding. I got to a point where I could occasionally build it quickly, but it remained far too much of a hassle for me, and in spite of it being one of my most memorable vapes (if not the most memorable vape), three months after I bought it I sold it.

Of course the basic design of the Marquis is totally a nod to the Veritas, but they really did take that ball and run with it. The possibilities with the Marquis seem endless (leaving the Veritas in the dust!), but I have to say, I am most attracted to the problems they solved with the wonkiness of building on such a deck. I waited for a V2 of the Veritas, but the only upgrade I ever saw was thumb-nuts to replace those irritating and fiddly nuts. Not nearly enough of an upgrade! I had no idea until just a few weeks ago the Marquis even existed, but as soon as I saw the videos for it I saw it as a dream come true. Yep, totally want it.

I like them better than the HH357, but that has more to do with the difference between 510s and the 306's.

They last quite a long time.

My experience is limited, compared to many here, but it seems like 306 attys in general may go away.

That would be bad imo.

I think a lot of folks here are dying to see someone put a sale price on quality 306's so we can stock up. I have some devices (a pipe and some Caravela Latina drip tanks) that are only usable with 306's. I'd like an opportunity to put a few dozen away to keep those devices serviceable.

I've had the same experience too with the 306's, that they just last forever. I need to give a couple of them deep alcohol soaks. They've lasted so long they're gunked beyond use.

Dino posted this as a reply to a comment on his Marquis video "The Veritas was in no way influential in this design. And I'm sure if you ask Faceless....he will say the same."

Either Dino or Cisco mentioned on VapeTV or Click Bang that while they were designing the Marquis they posted a progress drawing of some sort. Faceless contacted them because the unreleased Veritas had similarities. It seems that that they independently and concurrently came up with a similar idea. I thought it reflected admirably on all involved that there was no childish pettiness over the issue.

Wow. Fascinating! From a former user of the Veritas, though, I can say that it really needed what the other seems to have in spades.

Totally with you on that. The Cisco 306's were (and still are) my favorite disposable atty. I tried a 357 and it wasn't bad, but I went right back to the 306 since it suited my tastes better. I don't use them all that often anymore, but I still bust one out once in a while.

A few years ago time when I was at GLV (Great Lakes Vapor), Jay let me try his GLV mini and it had a 306 on it. I swear, I have never felt such a massive TH from any set-up on any device. I wasn't able to replicate that experience when I tired 306s for myself on a Provari, but I used EM and not AV. I don't know what brand Jay used, but I remember it as a pretty killer vape.
