I have been waiting for one of those for a long time. I basically gave up on all of my 3.7v devices and stayed with my VV devices. As the voltage drop off of using a 3.7V device drives me crazy. I was very happy to hear that Rob was going to introduce a VV Reo. Hopefully I will be able to get the coin to get one.
Well, my fellow Metro Easter, I can possibly make you even more happy.
There are electronics on the way that would solve that. The price would be about $40 plus switching to 18490 batts. It will only go to 10 W, so it's not a true replacement for a VV Reo, but it will stop that drop off you get from a standard 3.7 device.

As far as going back to the REO, I haven't left, but I do have a VV tube (granted it's just a Lava Tube) and tank set up. The HH357 on a REO is a superior vape -IMHO. I get more flavor and more nuanced flavor with the REO. I also get better draw and a more consistent vape from the 357 REO.
Let's face it, Cartos are not made to the highest QC specs on the planet. Some draw tighter than others. Some last longer than others. Punching holes and suspending them in liquid does not help this situation...at all. I also have some concerns about heat breaking down the liquid I am vaping, which can happen in a carto tank since the heat of the carto is transferred into the juice that surrounds it.
Dumping more volts (watts, actually) into the carto is a workaround for an inferior product (by this I mean the standard carto or atty--NOT the PV.) It doesn't actually address the problem, it masks it.
Glad you're back and it was nice to see your DIY efforts were rewarded. I saw you post that in the DIY section and meant to respond.
