'Back in the day' when the joye ego starter kits from liberty flights were a big deal? Oh, and don't forget about the LR atomizers! lol

Or how about using that blue fish tank filler stuff in the drip tips. God I threw away a lot of money on junk.

Anyone who is new to vaping doesn't know how good they really have it. It's like playing Oregon trail or spectre on the apple macintosh computers 25 years ago, to now playing the new school games.

Good times.

The State of Confusion
Oh yeah and how many if use started with the cigalikes, wasted what a $100.00 bucks or more on those pieces of junk....

The 100', the original Blu'......some names I cannot remember....those prefilled cartos that tasted great for what ten hits! HA!

After that I found Pure Smoker and went to their V1 for a while with drip cartos, then the V3'....Whoo Hooo when cartomizers came along, and then LR' cartos.

Remember the first tanks for cartos...Leaked like sieves they did!

Oh yeah the good old days of wasting money and maybe getting a week out of a carto if you were lucky!

And lets not forget we were stacking those Tenergy batteries in the V3' to get 7 volts, little did we know that we were carrying a potential pipe bomb around!

Remember when Totally Wicked came out with the first DIY kits?

Yes indeed the noobs have it easy!

We did all the ground work and trial by fire and lots of money wasted!

Things have changed dramatically even since I started vaping.

When I first started 0.6 ohms was thought to be extremely low. Eco wool, silica, and cotton where your only wicking choices. Rip trippers was not very well known. DDA's and drip shields were still mainstream.

(And one for me) 100$ dollar was an insane amount of money to spend on a mod

It depends on how daring you are, and how satisfied you are.

I got into DIY because not many will mix 3.2% (I smoked cigars), and the lovely descriptions that have nothing to do with the juice names:

Moon Walk Mania

Silly Vanilly

Tropical Storm

What happened to REAL flavors...LOL

I have 4 Provari', 3 ZAP's, Aero Mega Tank, a Fogger 2 ...nothing too extravagant or experimental.
( I use my Mega dual coils more than anything else).

I am a vapaholic, 15 - 25 ml of juice a week, and I am not a cloud chaser as "they" call it....

I am happy...spent enough money, got it working for me, all the nic I need so those less fortunate than I do not turn into statistics!

I.E.) If not for vaping I might do bad things to some people! LOL

OK...OK so I am still spending money.....but on other stuff

Amen.
This is the very thing that burns me about BT's recent actions in this arena.

BT was MIA in the development of the "ecig".
They should have had a prototype a decade ago and the first to bring one to market--maybe restore some respectability for themselves.
They missed that boat.

Then BT has been able to sit back and watch as the industry and consumers have done all the market research and product development FOR THEM for the last 5 years--a road map of exactly what we want and what we'll spend to get it.

And what do they give us? The Vuse? The Mark10?
And legislation (they co-wrote) that threatens to take this all away.

Enjoy these good times while they last.
I have a feeling we'll be looking back at them with fondness and tales of "I remember when...."

My first 510 kit came from Cignot and was something like $39 and came with 2 little batteries. When I found that it might actually work for me I was ordering more batts, juice, a backup charger, etc. By the end of my first week I'd probably spent close to $200 total on supplies. By the 10th day I'd quit smoking altogether though and never fell off the wagon since. Money well spent.

Buying my first eGo battery was a revolutionary event. I messed with cartos but never really left the old carts and atomizers behind until the first CE2's came out. Another revolution.
