I'm trying to think of a good way to trim the metal collar from around the 510 connector on
Mega Cylinder (Type B) atomizers, to make them usable on mods with a recessed connector.
I know they can be used with a combination of adapters, but that's
not what I want (tried it, it works, didn't like it).

I've found it easy to do with the Mega Cartomizers, due to their plastic collar. The atty, with its metallic collar is a bit more of a challenge. Maybe a dremel-type tool with a cutting wheel would be a good solution??? I don't own one, but know someone who does. Or would there be another, maybe better way?

Has anyone figured out an easy fix?

I feel your pain. I like them, but performance with stacked adapters can be twitchy.

I tried to cut the skirt with a tubing cutter, got through the first layer, the tube (which then slid off) and gave up when I saw what was still left to cut (under it).

Not worth the effort, just built a quick mod with most of the connector exposed.
