You can put some isopropyl alcohol in the bottle, shake it, and let it sit for a few minutes or hours (depending on how much time you have to do this). Also, I believe that the bottle assembly can be removed like my Army tank. Which will make the process easier and to squeeze the bottle to empty out the iso. Obviously rinsing the bottle afterwards a few times and letting it dry.

Then take a q-tip with some iso and wipe the 510 connection down and use a paper towel to dry it. On the other end of the q-tip dip it in water and go over the 510 connection and dry it again.

Yeah. I'll go over all the metal & plastics like that, but I'm pretty sure it's gotten into the wood as well. It's not unbearable, but not being a huge fan of cinnamon myself, I'd like to try to dull it down as much as possible. Just not sure what I could use on wood that would do such without either damaging it or covering it up with something even more unpleasant...

I've done this with some wood before to remove strange odors but I don't know about cinnamon...it might be worth a try. Take a cotton ball and dip it in pga or vodka. Squeeze as much out of the cotton ball as you can...you only need it damp. Take a q-tip to get the corners and harder/smaller areas that that cotton ball can't reach. Wipe it all down and let it air dry. I don't see why the alcohol would hurt it. It hasn't hurt any wood that I've done this too. Trick is not to saturate the wood. Let it dry and give it a good sniff. If it's dulled it, do it again. Once you are happy with the smell, treat the wood.

Oh, that's going to be hard man. No doubt about that one. You can try what Hairball has suggested. I don't think that the juice got on the outside of the mod.

I would just clean the inside of it and see if that helps first. Since, I noticed that the Phidias has a leaking problem like every other gravity fed mod out there from what I've seen.

erich, I wouldn't suggest saturating the wood with lemon juice. Lemon juice is acidic and organic acids do funny things in the cell structures of some woods. I don't think you want to encourage the growth of mold in there. You might try alcohol. Everclear if you can get it where you live. just don't soak it.

...try sealing it in a baggie with newspaper for a few days...changing the paper a few times....old tupperware trick to remove odors...? (after a little bit of a wipe down...wouldn't saturate the wood tho - could split)

You might even try putting a container of baking soda or activated charcoal in the sealed baggie with it to absorb the odor.

Edit - I looked online and found a woodworking site with a few suggestions. They listed a few odor absorbing materials (like the newspaper, charcoal, etc). They also suggested using a spray bottle to dampen the affected area with a solution of 24-parts white vinegar/1-part olive oil. I've never used this method on wood myself, but I do use white vinegar on all my old juice bottles to completely remove any scent from the juices they held. Here's a link if you want to read their suggestions:
