I've got a ss ggts which i tried cape codding it but it won't clear the scratches. Any method or ways that i can do this?
Then you're better off leaving it alone.I'm not good with a dremel.![]()
Then do what i like to call "hand-job"...
I never use the dremel on my PV's...always end up by making even more and deeper scratches (never found out why).
depending on the part,it might be a better idea to just replace a $30 part then waste time trying to mess with it.
Good advice plus they can keep the logo and numbers intact.Best way for someone to polish scratches out of GG's is to take it to a jewelry store to be buffed by someone who knows what they are doing. I would fall into this category as I don't know diddly about buffing.
I've got a leather stropping wheel, which I use a polishing abrasive on. That gets the big scratches, then I use my buffing wheels on my lathe, Tripoli, white diamond, and then a Renwax buff... but that's only if I'm feeling like polishingEat your hearts out hehe
