LOLLL Credit Cards are a fact of life nowadays. Wife and I buy EVERYTHING with our CC...always pay them off each month and with all the bonus points programs available it's a HUGE win- win. Example....been buying gas lately and paying $1.15 per litre. With free bonus points paid 57.5 cents per litre. Like I say it's a win- win.

Amen. I just got gas for $2 a gallon.

I call this concept the classifieds at ECF,
i try stuff and if i dont like it I sell it for a very small loss and chalk that up to a trial fee, doing that has allowed others to get a great deal on something they want and allowed me to sample tons of gear without getting stuck with t if I dont like it

Don't believe in credit cards. If I don't have the money to get it, I don't get it.

My parents were the same way, they had only one credit card (Sears, go figure) that they'd use every few years to buy something big (like appliances and what not) and then pay in full when the bill came, avoiding interest charges.

HOWEVER, they never flew, rented cars, bought things on line, or subscribed to on-demand services via the internet. I do, and I could not without credit cards.

Plus, with a credit card, if a transaction goes south, I have the credit card company standing behind me.

The credit card I currently use pays cash back to my mortgage. I pay it off each month when the bill comes. I use it moderately, but it nets me $100 - $150 a year off my principle, which will definitely pay off in the long run.

Thanks for the feedback all, nice to know what people think. I like the meetup approach most I think, that sounds like a nice way to meet people and maybe try new gear.

I would love to start up a local vaping club, but NOBODY vapes around here.

Glad to hear that. These CC companies, Financial Institutions, etc screw us royally so payback in the form of rebates feels good.
