Ok, this is the final test I'm doing, no more, too much heat and juice is more than ruined

for this one is silica, dual coil of kanthal 26, .3 ohms, 3.66 Volts = 44 watts (using Sony batteries, 13.3 AMPS!!!!)

I'm going back to my RM2 with nice, warm but not hell like vape

Yeah .3, its on vamo screen

Tastes like boiling glicerin in you mouth though
This is facinating stuff but are you saying it's not a good vape?

Where's Statistic? .

Good question. He hasn't been around much lately. I hope he's ok.

Not hating, but I seriously do not get this at all. I get the whole "doing stuff because you can" thing, but when the results are a battery hazard and/or burnt throat, I struggle to understand. What's the upside? Big clouds? You can get big clouds with a coil over 1 ohm, and at anything under .8, I think the law of diminishing returns pretty much rules the day.

Stay safe out there.

Hey guys, few things

- I don't need an ohms calculator to know off my head: Wattage = Volts ^2 / Resistance, just type in in my calc and done with it

- It's the first 0.3 ohm ANYTHING (Dual, Single) coil i have tried, and only for 5 mins (do have a few extra videos done on that coil, just testing). At the end of the day, i'm fine with a .7 ohm, .6 if I feel risky, but that's about it and only trust Sonys for this (sorry pdlib, don't have the higher amperage AWs and may take a bit)

- You need to either have some very damaged lungs from years of vaping or be of certain complexity to be able to do those clouds: after 2 or 3 seconds it's just too much vapor (and too hot!) to be able to keep inhaling that and retaining it

- I was just pushing and testing what someone can do (not that should do) with a REO ~ and honestly, with any other device, <.4 dual coil??? it's just not necessary

I fail to graps how too much REAL hot vapor going into your lungs is enjoyable, specially when the liquid you know and love pretty much losses all its flavor (there is some, but is not the complex flavor from that specific ry4 I'm accustomed to)

the RM2 is just another atomizer (modded to be married to a REO)

the fact that someone doesn't like it doesn't mean it's not good, some people love the Odysseus (costing $200 when it came out) and some others hate the need to join NR-Resistance-NR wires

Some others swear by mesh for genesis or RDA (I certainly used Mesh with that igo-L like a lot in the past), others by ekowool and so on.

The extreme clouds are nice and all for shows, but it's not an enjoyable vape IMO, i'm already back to my .7 ohm single coil on RM2 @ 15 watts (just using a kick 2 this weekend, will go back to mech next week on REO)

just disproving a disbeliever, nothing more than a test and back to my nice vape @ .7 ohms

I guess this is the right thread to give my opinion on this. I've gradually gone up from 15 watts to currently 38 watts. I'm running 7 wraps of nichrome 24ga at .3 ohms. Here's the thing, it kind of depends on juice, how long you fire it and how you vape it. Of course, do a long inhale of that thing at 38 watts and it's uncomfortable. However, at 35-38 watts I don't feel loss of flavor, but the opposite. It sparks my high VG juices as if they were PG. The warmth of the vapor makes the flavor much more pronounced before even inhaling it. I don't usually fire it for longer than 2-3 seconds, and honestly that's enough to get a mouthful of juicy clouds. I usually do nose hits, so I don't even inhale it and the flavor is so damn good. I do like a warmer vape except with menthol juices. So it kind of depends on the person, but at least mine didn't taste off at 38 watts, it actually tasted pretty damn good.

If I were to do those bragging clouds you see on videos it'd be much easier to just vape at 25 watts and do a big lung hit. I wouldn't do it with anything over 30 watts.

jc, great! I really haven't done this anymore and I'm comfortable on 28 watts nowadays

I don't have nichrome (yet) so maybe the taste profile between kanthal and nichrome at SLR are different?

don't know, speculating!

Some say they can taste a bit of a metallic aftertaste, some say it sparks the flavor. Also I read that with nichrome you need more wraps to achieve the same ohmage that you'd get with kanthal, so that favors micro-coil builds. I'm happy with it, can't really say I prefer over kanthal or less, but it's the only 24ga wire I have until my kanthal one arrives and it's doing great. I also don't take longer than a 3 second hit, it is true that too hot will hinder the flavor. I got a .4 ohm coil on my other REO at roughly 30 watts on a fresh battery. I like it, but I'm not saying I need that much. I'm happy at 25 watts but for now, being something new, I kinda like it :p. I wouldn't use it on menthol flavors though, heavens no. If it has menthol, it better be cool! :D
