Hi all!
New member to the forum, 4 weeks behind me with 0 analogs.

I'm vaping a Reo Grand w/LR306 and having a tough time keeping the atty in the sweet spot.

I have no issues with the 510 LR atty, got my squonking down and everything.

Just wondering if anyone else had troubles with Reo & 306.

Thanks in advance!

I can't help you. I've got a Reo Mini and I'm using a LR 510 atty. I just ordered a 306 atty, so we'll see how it works when it gets here.

The 510 atty works great on the Mini. My only comment about your setup is that the 18650 battery may be putting out too much voltage for the LR atty, especially when it's straight off the charger and is putting out 4.2 or 4.1 volts. Try a standard resistance atty (2.4 - 2.8 ohms) and see if that works better.

I know that on my Silver Bullet with a Vivi Nova tank using the 1.8ohm heads, the 18650 battery puts out too much voltage for the 1.8ohm head, especially fresh off the charger. It burns the juice. If I wait until the battery is depleted down to 3.8 volts or below, it works fine.

This is why I'm so tempted to buy the new VV Reo.

There are plenty of guys around that absolutly love a 306, so it's one of those "different strokes' kind of thing. Like you, I found them to be a bit of a PITA. My main complaint with them was that I just couldn't dial them in to maximize flavor without also getting to much heat. A 510 is just to easy for me to dial in to bother messing with 306'es.

In my Nova's I use 3.2ohm heads that I get from Altsmoke.com (Vision eGo heads). They seem to stay "in the zone" pretty well on an IMR battery.

I prefer the 306 over the 510, just needs a little more squonking. One important thing is the drip tip, I was using the standard plastic driptips and just recently switched to using a aluminium canon driptip, it makes a very noticeable difference in my vaping experience. I bought it from Goodejuice, but I´m sure you can find it somewhere else too.

306's are VERY finicky. I guess you could say they are an aquired taste. LR's shouldn't ever go hotter than 3.7v. Even at 3.7, they make a very warm almost hot vape. I personally like that kinda vape. I only use LR306 by Cisco on my Reo I'm so finicky about it.

Find that spot that works for YOU. LR306's just might not be your thing :0) not good or bad, just YOU~!
