OK so I have a Reo Grand on the way. This is what I have:

1 AW 18650 IMR Battery
2 Tenergy 3.0v cr123 batteries
2 AW 3.2v cr123 batteries
WF188 Charger

I'd like to get a Pila charger bec I think that you should be as safe as possible with batteries. So here's my question:

Can I use the AW IC 18650 2900 mah battery? How about the one thats 2600 mah? Is there a difference between these and the IMR? I read that someone squashed their spring in the Reo using the 18650 IC 2900 mAh battery - shouldn't they all be the same size?

Can I safely use my Tenergys and AW cr123 in the Reo with HV attys?

Now I know this probably sounds dumb but how do you use a mulimeter and what should they read? I know you can charge the 3.7v batteries to 4.2 but after use how low is too low? Why can't I use a battery till its fully discharged?

Also I am used to the Riva so I always had something to cover the whistling sound of just an atty or carto. That atomizer cone also give the draw a little stiffness similar to an analog. Will I have this issue on the Grand? do they make atomizer cones for this?

Please help...

Hi there I'll try and help you as much as possible, but I'm no expert ;)

Can I use the AW IC 18650 2900 mah battery? How about the one thats 2600 mah? Is there a difference between these and the IMR? I read that someone squashed their spring in the Reo using the 18650 IC 2900 mAh battery - shouldn't they all be the same size?
The Reo's where designed around the AW IMR batteries, other can work but i suggest you stick to the suggested batteries for the sake of your awesome new toy !!!

Can I safely use my Tenergys and AW cr123 in the Reo with HV attys?
I run my Reo grand exclusively at 6 volts with some AW and Tenergy batteries, there awesome on a 3 ohms Boge carto ( Standard resistance) so I'm guessing HV atty would work as good !

Now I know this probably sounds dumb but how do you use a mulimeter and what should they read? I know you can charge the 3.7v batteries to 4.2 but after use how low is too low? Why can't I use a battery till its fully discharged?
I charge my 14500's up to 4.18-4.2 volts on a WF-188 charger, and vape them till they get to around 3.9-3.8 volts , and then they require a charge , and the exact reason you cannot use a battery till its fully discharged im not too sure about, but i'd guess its about preventing the battery to "vent" and fail.

As far as cones .... i dont think theres anything pre-built for Reo's, but dont take my word for it ;)

Hope this helps as much as possible, and if not a pro will probably chime in sooner or later !!!

Congrats on your new Grand!!!

Battery length is very important. The recommended battery fits so the spring does not compress fully, allowing it to collapse as a safety feature, in case of a short. Other batteries that are longer disable the safety feature by compressing the spring too much. If you have a short, you may burn up your REO!
