Meanwhile, back in Kentucky, these are my vehicles and my girlfriends car is still stuck at the end of the driveway.

how do you meter it on the Reo? I've seen people use the multimeters, but they have to put one probe on the threads. and one on the center pin.

I pull the battery and then put the probes on the pins and measure ohms. Close enough for me as I don't sub-ohm. Then I check the distance from the coil to the side of the the atty base to make sure the coil can't touch the cap when it's put on. I then put the cap on, and put one probe on the side of the cap and the other on the spring. There should be no continuity. Probably NOT the best way to do it. I've never had a problem though and this is on an RM2 and Cyclone. Other attys may make it difficult to see if coils could possibly touch the cap.

I'm sure many will say I'm crazy and point out what I'm doing wrong. And that's ok. But it works for me and I've never had a mishap. I don't recommend my method though except I never take the atty bases off my Reo so that is what I have to work with.

All that being said I really wouldn't try it until some other members chime in. I could be full of it.

Edit: never mind measuring between the side of the cap and the spring. I was backwards on that, you will get continuity.

Ok, I finally figured it out. sorta. When I tried to dl google hangouts, it just said that it added it to chrome. I was looking for a thing like skype does that adds something to your desktop. Just realized, you just sign into google and it's there. So....... I have the thing I use to sign in........but at the top right, it has a username that is different. The user name is what you need right?? I can't do the vid, but it will pick up me talkin.

The message comes up as a conversation. If that helps!

On my desktop I have to go to google+, then the hangouts page. https://plus.google.com/u/0/hangouts

Your tab should show Hangouts. Conversations are running messages. Real time posts. They are saved and you can keep in contact with people sending and answering whenever you want

On my tablet and phone I downloaded the Hangouts app. Just click it and it opens. It shows the same as what you see on a laptop or desktop.

Just to let those interested know: I managed a successful video chat with karen. We're working on adding more who wish to join but we have to test it out to see what happens as more people join. This may be the solution but I don't know if it'll work on linux. Have to do more checking. It will work on android tablets and phones. Apple? Not sure.
