It was kewl to hear your voice. Like you're a real live person! Not just words on a screen.

Although, honestly it kinda freaked me out to suddenly be face to face with people. I got all nervous and shy.

Once I get talking, sometimes you can't shut me up. But, most of the time I'm very shy and don't know what to say.

hehehe I'm the same way. Sometimes I'm real quiet and sometimes ya can't shut me up. Yours was breaking up quite a bit, so it was hard to understand some, but it was so great to see ya.

I have a proposition for those who are joining in the video chat:

1. If you start it, when you're ready to start post a link here immediately so people know it's going on.

2. When you end it, immediately edit that post to reflect that so people aren't trying to find something that doesn't exist.

I think this could get much more complicated as I bet we could have more than 9 who want to participate. In that case we'd need multiple sessions. The trick is how to make this manageable so people can easily find the chats and know they are going on as well as accommodate all who want to play.

Just some thoughts on what may make life easier......

Good Morning Army. After being in several 'Hangouts' yesterday I am convinced the microphone in my laptop is crap. Apologies to all who had trouble understanding me yesterday.. Now, where is my coffee cup ?

Have a Safe and Blessed Sunday :nun:

Good morning Brett, it was nice to put a face to the name. You could get an external microphone and disable the one in your laptop and enable the new. Don't think they cost much online and are USB based. Probably cheaper than a webcam for sure.

Just a thought.....

evening. how is everyone? i won't be video chatting for now so be sure to keep posting here more than just arranging meetings elsewhere :)

i had a day of rest, but did get an email that my tmod is very close to complete :)

Good morning! Don't worry, I've had that same thought. And I agree. We don't want the Lounge to suffer due to something that many cannot participate in. So you'll see me here posting. See? :)

i like daylight savings. without it summer the sun would be up at 4.30am

I didn't know y'all had DST. Not having lived so far away I'm not familiar with the the sun and moon patterns of where you live. I don't hear many people that like it in the states. Most grouse about having lost an hour of sleep. To me, it doesn't matter as I can sleep when I want. Others can't do that.

Edit: many can't do that.

All we need it the names of the people to join the video chat! Add the names to your contacts on Google Hangouts.

Google name: Doug Bennett

Anybody gunna put their google names out here? BTW that's not my real name, it's just the name my parents gave me. My two ex's gave me another name that follows me around and so I defer to their better judgement.

Good morning, Fleet, Dan, and Doug! How's everyone this morning?

Doing ok. Finishing first and only cup of coffee. Then I have to wait for the internet folks to come and fix mine. Fortunately it works enough that I can post here :) How you doing?

morning everyone!

Tracey

Good morning Tracey! I haven't got out to my mailbox in a couple of days. I hurt my back doing spring cleaning (it's already hurt so it doesn't take much) and I'm leery of walking on the ice that pervades our parking lot. I'm gonna get out there today though :) It's going to be relatively warm (35F) and a lot of the ice should be melting off. Then I'm going to try building me a new coil and wick and I'll let you know how that goes for sure.
