I recall the late great Steve Mcqueen in the movie "Tom Horn" sitting down to a fancy meal with lobster as the entree and referring to it as "the biggest bug I ever ate". one of the hungriest i can remember was when i took a snow survival class to finish off my 2 year requirement in order to transfer to a 4 year college. i was dirt-poor back then and barely scrounged enough from friends to stave off the cold. ran out of food the second day. then my snow-cave collapsed.
when we finally hiked out, somebody at the top of the trail had saltine crackers and, i think, bologna.
to this day, after eating at several five star restaurants, that remains the best meal of my life
