Dark side of the moon
Before I head off to bed I just wanted to say that today is my 1 year vapeversary. It's sure been a ride and I'm glad I ended up here in Reoville. I have to say this day is better than my bday last month :)

I'd like to thank those of you who helped me get to this milestone. There were times I needed help and I got it. And not once did I ever go back to even a single analog. So, thank you! What a great community Reoville is. And ECF in general as I'd never have found my way here without the help of others.

Life has some cool stuff in it. That's for sure :)

I've been doing well, thank you. I hope you do find some opportunities with the upcoming changes. Always nice to climb up a bit. Well, for a lot of people. Some don't want the responsibility, they just like doing their job. Ain't nothing wrong with that!

I was head grocery clerk when I was working grocery 8 years ago... that experience has made me want to stay an underling :) I wouldn't mind TeamLead I think, but I don't want to give up coding to shuffle papers and manage people...

As a retired V.P. of Software Engineering, methinks Agile is way overblown

Good day, Reoville

Agile has some great principles behind it... the problem is everyone has .......ized it into their own thing and ignored the founding principles so their implementation is no longer agile... at least that has been my experience at the last two places I've worked.

Northern Cali, eh? I was born and raised in NorCal - but I was 20min from Oregon border (everyone seems to forget there is still like a 1/4 or so of the state above the bay area :) )

Good day, Reoville

Being the old dinosaur that I am, I use LAMP only. I have always refused to do anything with Java because of the way that Sun stole it from the developer. I only use PHP, Perl and (if I really have to) C. Considering the fact that X-Windows was written in C (not C++. it had not been invented yet), I never felt the need to expand in that area.

You have not just said that mama! Software engineer signing in. Currently working as a software process advisor in my company. Certified scrum master, and certified scrum product owner. I hope our CIO does not think that as well

Srs, agile applied well and continuously monitored can do miracles. You just need committed developers and a really good coach.
