Good morning, Reoville! It's chilly out and starting to rain. I just ran over to my dad's to help him with his cows, and just made it back when it started raining. Good day to stay inside now. Congrats again, Fleet on one year! I know you'll make 2 now. And congrats on being here for 2 years, Matthew!

It's interesting to read about all the computer geeks we have on here. I took up computers back in the day we were programming on punch cards using Fortran and basic. There weren't even desktops back then. I just never kept up with it all as it was moving at such a rapid pace once the pc came into being, which happened while I was still in college.

I know Rob can mod a Grand to an LP, but has anyone done it themselves?
Do not get me wrong, I love my Grand, but I love my LP more. After modding a Plume Veil to the LP, I find that I like using the Plume Veil on an REO quite a bit more than I like using an RM2 or an A7. The difference is night and day!

Morning all!
For those following:
The deploy went ok last night. Not smooth or clean by any means, but we didn't find any major holes or issues. The real test will be Monday. This weekend I need to work on generating data for all the new columns we added, but thats not exactly difficult work.

Nice. Glad you made it through in one piece, and it sounds like a light weekend.

Good Morning Reoville :) Gotta dust the truck off and go help the father in law today. Going to see if he has a spare 1/32 drill bit too so I can clean my channels out a wee bit more on my modded plume veil. It's not getting gunky I think it was more I wanted it to work than be the best it could be - time to fix it up a bit more I think.

I was shocked with the plume too. Its an awesome little guy. I have to probably chamfer the cyclops air holes though, I still get a bit of whistle and occasionally it drives me insane. I know its definitely not the negative post holes cause those are plugged with spare wick to keep oversquonks in my actual deck.

`Hello Reoville.

Congrats Fleet on the one year free. Its a lot harder to stuff a Reo under those guitar strings than a cig but its worth it. I remember your rocky start but you made it.
mwdenko ...2 years..way to go.
Back to crawling under my fleece blanket until May comes around.

Its all Dennis's fault.

my dvr is silver does that count ?

No... No it doesn't. I hate to be the one to inform you that you'll have to change your DVR.color. But my guess is that it will be no problem for you and I'd bet you already have the black paint. :)

Actually black is what I prefer to wear. And of course my Reos are black, go figure...

Thanks Laurin. And I did make it. Even though there was a rocky time or two, overall the journey has been amazing.

mwdenko- congrats to you as well.

And Scott, I need a better picture of that hat. I've got my guess as to what it looks like but I'd like to see more of it. Of course, I'm a hat-lovin' kind of man. Even if I don't know you, if I like your hat I'll yell at you half way across Walmart to let you know :)

Dual or Single Coil? What ohm rating are you firing at?
I am running single coil .6 ohm, using a Samsung 25r power source. With the Samsung, there is a noticeable difference.

Good Afternoon REOVille. Been jabbering away over in the HHV Forum, occasionally doing hit-and-run posts on a few threads in this sub-forum. Just finished repairing the Invisible Fence, finding where it was broken wasn't too terribly hard (Stay In The Driveway, Woman ! ! ! ) and now I am just waiting for the New England Pansies (and the Referees) to end football as we know it later this afternoon. With my daughter the Tom Brady Fan on the other end of the sectional. I thought I had raised her better than that....
So I thought I'd visit the ECF again (addicting, isn't it ?) and I've got something ridiculous like 39 'Likes'. Can't resist the realizing of others admiring all of my radiant brilliance and charming wit. Of course, this old Trucker ain't never lied to a Cop before, either. As I admiring my adoring fans, I noticed a 'Like' from Supertrunker for a post I made on The Health Nut Thread in the HHV Vendor Forum.
I thought "What the hell is he doing way over here ?"
then I thought "Maybe because you haven't said hello over there lately...."
Thanks for the gentle nudge, Jim.

HELLO REOVILLE ! Congratulation to mwdenko and fleet on your respective anniversaries ! Any day without tobacco is a great day, the anniversaries remind us all just how great it is to be tobacco-free ! :toast:
Like all of the other good boys and girls (and Dennis, too) I am waiting for REOVille's second Christmas .... the Next Wood Sale Night :2cool: I am already pumped for the next run of beauties, and haven't even seen any pictures yet !
Then another blessed event will follow that all the good boys and girls (and Jim, too) will be waiting for ... Resin Sale Night ! These should also be interesting, and I think the Jedi Squonk Master is considering making them a little more available than Woods. Yea, right. New Reos ? Where does the line start ?
I really don't like watching Vaping Videos. Can't tolerate PBusardo or whatever his name is. I can tolerate Todd, but only if it's something I am already interested in. With this in mind, a saw a link to SxD's Review of the new 510 connector. So I did watch that. or at least the first half of it. Did I mention that I don't like watching Vaping Videos ? I'd much rather get good advice from good people, like the ones here.
Well, the Game will start in about 45 minutes. It's been a good season, after all we knocked Pittsburgh out of the Playoffs :thumb:

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

Just added another like for the ol' ego, papaw :)

Glad you're having a good day. Enjoy the football (come on, you seahawks) and rest up for the resin madness.

Returned the favor. Now I can watch the Seahawks. Russell Wilson will be remembered as the best QB of his generation. And Pete Carroll still runs the ball, and the Team can still Block and Tackle. Or, in other words, they play real Football !

I thought "What the hell is he doing way over here ?"

i drift all over the place, really just depending on what takes my fancy at any time. I knew Robino was on a health kick from a while back - pays to keep a beady eye on the mods!

A resin mod with a new 510 may well be the Holy Grail of Reos. I'm not such a mech mod purist that a bit of wire invalidates it as a mech - after all my Silver Bullet had one wire! If it is as robust as i think it'll be, it could well overtake a metal grand as beater-mod choice for the masses.

American Football? nah, the ball's the wrong shape! ;)

I've been procrastinating on doing my own LP mod myself. A few of us have used the trusty old disk sander. I had a new Jet 12" delivered for Christmas but unfortunately it had been drop tested a few too many times along the way and also looked like it may have been stabbed with a fork lift.
One industrious modder suggested using a chop saw. That way it doesn't move while you cut it. I have a good carbide blade so I'm considering it but it would ruin my excuse to buy a perfectly good disk sander. I'm sure I would use it for lots of other stuff in my new machine shop. (Under slow long term development)

Hi lounger's... I often stop by for your wisdom, I just don't post that much.

Happy new year!
