It appears you can just by the contact and spring. The contacts are on the first page, springs are on the second page.
In the video it looked like he broke that pin off, can you replace it with out breaking that pin off?
I know some newbie questions... Im trying to avoid sending my reo in and hoping to do this myself, on the cheaper side of things.

I wish I could tell you, but I've never done it myself. If someone else doesn't answer you, I'll ask my husband when he gets out of the shower. He's done more than a couple.
My original Reo I did the upgrade myself and did not cut or break the pin off. I held the pin with a pair of needlenose pliers and used a screwdriver up top and it came lose. Some may have to cut it if it's too frozen up.

Wayne agrees, that on newer ones, you can twist the tube off. But the older ones will most likely need to be broke off. He says if it were him, he'd just do the whole thing. Its kind of like doing a tune up on your car, but not replacing the plug wires.

Sounds like your reo is two upgrades behind - the new gold contacts (firing pin, spring) & button, and the new adjustable ss 510 connection (which is sturdier than the old one and can be tuned to fit your atty better as far as how far it screws down).
If you send it in to Rob, you might as well go for the whole setup, although you can still get the new contacts for your existing 510.
Maybe PM Rob to get a price quote for all the options. Not sure if the ss 510 upgrade automatically gets you a new firing pin and button.

I've been absent for some time, but if I understand correctly...the center pin is adjustable up or down to fit the needs of the various atties out there without risking a short. I just tried to call Rob to verify, but he must have machinery running and can't hear the phone.
Hmmm. Ok. I just use cartos and 510 atties, so I guess I'll just ask him if he thinks I need it, do it, if not i can pass.
The delrin looks like it could be replaced, it has melted spots and doesn't sit flush.

Ya...when you get it back, it will work like better than new.
The new 510 connector has a crush resistant gasket so you won't break it when attaching atties too tight (unless you have channel locks and just give it your all....but no one will be doing that I suspect). Broken gaskets have been responsible for many shorts....and that was the whole point behind the new connection.

Morning Lisa ya her freedom date is June 10 so after that she can be free off leash until then she has to be controlled I can't wait for her to be able to romp with Simba
