So get this, my daughter has been training for the Aids/LifeCycle event this summer for 6 months. Not an easy gig as the event is from SF to LA in 7 days. I'm really proud of her training regimen and fundraising efforts. Last night someone broke into her home and stole her bicycle and other gear. She goes to the police station in Santa Cruz, CA to file a report. Guess what. The police station is closed on weekends and due to the holiday on Monday they will not reopen until Tuesday! I can't believe it. I guess it's budget cuts but holy f&^% that just amazes me.

Thanks, just wanted to vent!

Phone 911 say someone broke in and hang up before they say when. Then someone has to show up :)

I think if she would have called them out, they would have filed a report.

Police station closed at weekends? Well ofc, most crimes happen between 9-5 on weekdays. When everyone is at work. Crimes against bloody common sense!

Who gets president's day off anyway? the president and the mailman?

I can guarantee any police i see will start with "is this your car sir?"

Debadoo, you are too funny. You crack me up. And that takes a lot since I'm already pretty "cracked". I don't think I've ever had a reo dream. But then again I rarely get to sleep enough so I do most of my dreamin' awake.

I hate to tell you this but I had a chocolate turnover last night from Arby's. I couldn't help myself. Well it was Valentine's eve. Soooooooooo good. I just am a Hershey's kinda gal.
I did get to the post office yesterday. Sent a couple of flavorings that I had two of. You might can do something with them. The creme brulee is really good and I wrote to them and the promised me it did not have any of the bad stuff in it. I don't know for sure. But I bought 3 bottles of it, so I just sent one to you.

I am going to teach you how to do those emoticons. Someone tonight sent me a friends request and said that I was the Mistress of Gifness. I thought that was cute as you-know-what. I know some people don't like them but I do. And I have a heck of a collection. And I'm .... so they are copied into 4 places. heehee I ain't gonna lose my little cuties.

Still haven't gotten back to Arby's to get one of them. :( but we will at some point. Glad you had some hershey's and a nice brekkie! Hope you are getting some sleep!! I didn't even know McD's had bagels. I don't like McD's at all, nephew loves em, but a bagel might be good, love those! Thanks so much for the flavorings and Koolada! That's so sweet! Haven't tried creme brulee but have wanted to.

Today is gonna reach a high of 11 degrees. tonight around -11! more of the same tomorrow. Glad I stocked up yesterday!

It's blowing n snowing as i speak. But I'm not on the East coast!:)

yuck......can't like this at all.......you need to move to Texas!!! lol 79 right now, but low of 48, then Mon will be down to 34, and Tues 28 yuck! all this back and forth is wreaking havoc with my allergies!

Wow, what your daughter is doing is great!! but dang, I've never heard of a police station being closed. well the doors closed maybe, but they should at least always be answering the phone!!

I finally got some sleep and feel much better than yesterday. Don't feel like someone run me over 3 or 4 times today.
Got my nic in today.....gave my son some money to put in my acct for me a couple days ago so I can get my atty paid for.......but he hasn't done it yet....grrrrrr He's at work now, so it'll be at least tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day!!!

Starts with, "Is this your car sir?". Ends with, "Watch your head."

I've had a few bikes stolen over the years. When you report it, the police just act like you're a big waste of their time. A good bike costs as much as a lot of peoples cars.

I always wanted to ride in the MS150 down in Texas. It's from Houston to Austin. It's a 2 day 180 mile ride. I had always planned to, but never got around to it. I wish I would have done more stuff like that. I always wanted to hike more long range too. My biking and hiking days are about over now.
