That totally blows... Anything below 32 here and the faucet in the bathroom is running, (at a trickle), 24-7 to keep that from happening.

We do to but seems it's the line to the water heater after it branches from the main line. We had cold running at the faucets just not hot. Hubs was up at 5 and all was quiet then.

Called landlord his guy is here. Lava lizard is is doing it's thing, and the guy thinks the heat tape went out. It's time like this I'm glad we rent. :)

I measured the snow on my front steps. 4 1/2 to 5 inches. They were cleared yesterday!

Probably a total of 8-10 where no snow has been removed.

Rattytat's first Reo was also a gift and now she has 3, so you're in good company.

tender.gif
Yes it was, and the loan ended up being the best gift I have ever gotten from the most extraordinary man I have ever had the pleasure of getting to know. I guess it's true. . . you always remember your first. (reo that is)

I am doing fine now. Oh I am so excited for you.

I know exactly how you are feeling. I may forget what I ate for supper two days ago, but as long as I live, I will never forget the kindness and love that has been shown to me by so many people here. I was so much like you. I wanted a reo so bad and I welcomed people to reoville before I had one too. I was in love with them from the first time I read about them. I am getting teary eyed just thinking about it.

(happy tears this time though) And here is a cloud 9 for you sent with much love. . .

Well. I thought I would let anyone that is interested know

Yes we were interested. I am so glad it turned out probably better than you were thinking it would. It is scary stuff. I am so glad the doctor is okay with the vaping. It seems like respiratory specialists would be so much more knowledgeable of vaping than they seem to be. Look at how many people they could really help like a doctor is suppose to do imo. Well anyway, I am so happy for you too.

Kay, you Wild Woman. . . you had me thinking about filet mignon and bubble baths too last night. um um, um um um I love it when you call because no matter what. . . I know I'm gonna be laughin'.

giphy.gif

This happens to be one of my favorite movies. . . Pretty Woman.

Scott, love the new snazzy mouse. When I saw the pic, I heard Bowie's "Ground Control to Major Tom" heehee That is so cool though. I love electronics. Guess I've been running my mouth a fussin' to much at home because the boy's went and got me a little Asus MeMo Pad. It may be small but it has a 64-bit Intel Atom quad-core processor. Gosh, I just got a chill.
girl_haha.gif
They love keeping me quiet.

Gosh it has taken me all afternoon to get all caught up with all I have been missing. Whew! Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Sometimes you just don't feel good. And it's okay because at least you are still feeling.:D

That didn't long. They replaced a section of water line, replaced connector on heat tape. All buttoned up and no more river under the house :)

Glad it got sorted for you, Mrs C. I've been plagued with water problems for decades as a home owner (several properties in that time). My wife says that it's the curse of her being the daughter of a plumber.

As PBOB said, sure is purdy... Again, if I was only closer to you, I'd have no problem keeping a clear path for ya...

I was just out there. About 10 inches on what I cleared yesterday. Even with my RX pain meds I am hurting so much. I did some. But not near enough. Don't know what to do at this point......

I would loan you a youngin' if we were closer. He stayed over at a friends house last night but called and asked if his Dad wanted him home earlier than planned to help. Hubs laughed and pointed out he had to dig the truck out before he could go get him and "that was 80% of the work".

I think he already knew the offer would be declined, but I give him credit for calling to ask :)

We have a garden hose rigged from the washer to the tub right now. We have to leave things dripping so the drains don't freeze. I forgot about the washer or I would have dumped a little alcohol in the trap.

Maybe get in your van, and very slowly go forward and backward many times to pack it down? If you had 4-wheel drive it'd be a piece a cake...been there, done that:laugh:

Well, I was run-around Sue most of the day again! I was supposed to take the rental back by noon, but I knew the tumbled raw Reo was coming and I sure didn't want to have to go to the P.O. Mon. to get it.... it never gets old, waitin on a Reo:D

If it hadn't been so blasted cold i woulda had my camp chair by the mailbox! So after I signed for it, and opened up the box I saw that it was a grand! i would swear that i ordered a mini! Haven't had a grand since the beginning of my Reo journey cuz I told myself that it was too hard to use and hurt too much with my arthritic hands.

So I fixed it up with the new SS RM2, then went running around town. Brought a spare just in case it hurt my hands..NO prob! It must be that my hands have developed Reo muscles and memory in these last few years:laugh:

Debadoo... I want that bath tub! Mine;s just a kinda short skinny one...doesn't fit my shape at all:laugh:

Lol, I can just picture you pulling away in the car and it falling off the back hitting the ground. Where in Texas are you from/living? Me and my wife are originally from Texas. We're both from the Rio Grande Valley area. I grew up in Brownsville and she was from Los Fresnos, and tiny town north of Brownsville, and we met each other when my family moved there while I was in the 8th grade. I started high school there and that's how we met my senior year back in 1999.

There was one year I remember it snowed on Xmas eve back home. Me and my wife where living in Tucson, Az. and I had just returned from a deployment to Afghanistan and I took some leave to go home for the holidays. We drove 19hrs back home in time for Xmas and New Years, I think it was in 2004. I remember my dad looking out the window, it was about 10:30pm and him saying it was snowing. Of course none of us believed him so he walked out side and two minutes later comes back in thru the front door and starts nailing people with snowballs, lol. We couldn't believe it, snowed on Xmas eve and actually had a white Xmas. News reports and newspapers covered the story and had said it was the first time in 109 years they actually had snow fall that was recorded and it stuck for about two days then melted away.

Since I've been here in southern ga, I've seen snowfall a few times but it has never stuck, it will usually melt as soon as it hits the ground.

I'm smack dab in the middle, kinda between Austin and Waco. lol we had snow one year on Valentine's day bout 3 am. son was asleep on the couch. I snuck outside, grabbed a snowball, rang the doorbell. He got up and opened the door, and I pelted him! Meant to hit him in the chest or something with a light toss, but it whacked the poor kid in the face!! He was not amused! It has always been a running joke with us that I cannot throw straight at all. If I want to hit something <~~~~~ over there, I need to aim ~~~~~~> that way, but even that didn't help much.

3 1/2 hrs into a good sleep I wake up to hubby saying do you hear water...like alot of it?

Pipe froze and popped...

Nooooooooooo glad you are renting, and very glad it all got fixed!!!

it occurred to me that maybe part of the reason that the mali delivery is so bad lately is because of the unusually bad weather conditions. My new mini raw tumbled Reo was supposed to be here yesterday according to the tracking...sure hope it's here today.

As of it's arrival I'll have a metallic red, a black one and a metallic purple ( that I got from Rob/Ratman in the classies) Oh the fun I'll have switching out the doors on them:laugh:
I've been thinking the same.......too many packages are being re-routed....going on sight seeing tours

We had HOURS worth of freezing rain last night, branches all over the yard.

Yuck!! This is why anything north of Dallas and I get a nosebleed! lol Even Dallas is really too dang far north.

Well, my raw aluminum came today....but it's a grand, and I thought I ordered a mini. Now I can't switch out the doors:(

It's purty tho:laugh:

Karen, I have to say that what you did for Debadoo is outstanding. Even a gently used one is awesome...but a brand spankin new one?!

Glad it got there!! But sorry it doesn't work for door switchin. Jup....that was amazing!! She said she wanted my addy, wanted to send me sumpthin. I told her that I hoped it was something simple and not to do anything extravagant (cuz I've heard the stories bout y'all) sending me one her old ones would have been extravagant.....but a brandy new one is just omgggggggggggggggggg!!! Tracking shows Monday (fingers crossed).

I know you are tired of all the snow, but it sure is purdy!

newp.....my space heater is purdy!!! lol
