Having a slow morning at work...clients are taking their sweet time getting into work. So I'll take this short opportunity to post a couple of photos of the progress we have made up here.

Here is the house, front yards (ha, ya ....right), and shop. The left side is ours and the right side is my father-in-law's. As you can see we have a ton of work to do outside. Landscape, construction and tree clearing clean up is a must. And we have to finish the gravel driveway. We overspent before we could order the last 2 loads of gravel, so we need to build up the coffers before we finish. That will come later this spring.

Here is the new shop...attached to the back of the old shop. This is really big, but its so hard to capture the size on camera. 30x30 in front, 45x56 in back. When we can save enough money, we'll re-roof the front to match. For a 30+ year old shop, it's withstood the test of time really well.

And here are a couple of photos of some of our new projects...Wayne needs something to do now that our home is complete and the loan is closed. Can't have him sitting around being bored. The green one was mine and the other one is his (pictured with him, his son & grandson). We've since acquired one more for me, but I haven't taken pictures of it yet. The green one will be a parts rig for now, but then we'll restore it later....like in 10 years, if ever. These are family projects...things for us to work on together (us, dad, and even the kids & grandkids from time to time).

This is an idea of what we're shooting for with at least one of the Willys. We'll use them for work and play with our company logo on them.

Anyway, that's it from the hill people household. Hope you all have a great day!

I've always thought Willys were awesome. My grandpa had a military surplus one, with a top he built out of plywood, that he used in the fields.

I've never read it. I have had a lot of interest in different religions over the years. I've studied and read in depth about quite a few. It comes in handy when read an article about how this religion or that believes and you know it's BS. All my reading has kind of turned me into a peg that doesn't really fit anywhere. I just kind of go with the flow and try to treat people the way I want to be treated. I also try to keep in mind that I'm sharing this life with over 7 billion other people who are just as significant as I am. It's hard to remember some times. We all get busy and are thinking about all the stuff we need to get done. So I try not to fault anyone for not thinking about the fact that if they would have pulled to the last pump, the guy behind them could be pumping gas too.

We're all in this together you know.

Rory,

One more last thing. (There's no such thing as one last thing with me). If you can't afford the book, I'll buy it for you. Loving kindness is behind everything I do. Or I try to make it so. I'm human. I'm not perfect. That makes me a perfect human as a human who was perfect would not be human.

Ever read the "Tao of Pooh"? Wonderful book. And yeah, a Dudest priest would be cool. I'm an ordained minister myself, however my ministry is different from what is considered the norm. As if anyone would expect anything different.... :)

I was the minister-ess of love long long ago:laugh:

TMI! TMI!

Leave that light on for me! I promise I will visit! Can't wait to see your home and the property.

And I bet pictures just don't do it justice!

Hopefully we'll have my rig done by the time you come out so we can travel in style! And yes, my pictures don't do it justice...but the property really is a mess right now. So much cleaning to do....it hurts just to think about it. I'm really excited for spring. The huckleberry bushes are already leafing. Can't wait to see what it will look like a month or so from now! :D

And Hi Fleet!! :) Sorry I missed your post earlier.

That's what we love about these....the classic american work rig...post war. We got these not just because they're cool, but because we want to put some good ol' fashioned Americana back to work. Love our Kias, but would really love to use this for our deliveries.
