I know this is a very friendly group, but I'm just so very boring :)

Great idea! I wonder why $6.01 - $58.63.

I think it has to do with the color and size you choose......

Yes, she does quite well. More active than I am for that matter. This whole thing with my son has hit her as hard as it has hit me and I feel sorry for her. She shouldn't have to bear the pain. I try to isolate her but she's very smart and knows just from my behavior when something is up. She's a therapist so she's kind of trained for that stuff :)

So maybe that's where you get your insight and compassion.

I'm much more like her than my father. But he was cruel. When he passed away I cried once and that was it. I'd already made peace with the fact that he was not a father to me.

My mother and I are close, we talk daily. And one day I will care for her when she needs me. Her loss will hurt. :(

I was just the opposite. I was close to my dad, but not so much my mom. Was hard to tell how much was mental issues, and how much was just mean as a snake

I hear you. I never figured that one out with my father. He was a very intelligent man, but lacked in compassion. It was as if he had not an ounce of it in his being. One thing he did do for me was introduce me to some good music and instill a passion for guitars, motorcycles and boats in me. He did well with boats but never learned to ride or play.

Edit: fast cars and fast women I found all by myself :)
