Man I woke up feeling like dookie today, have moderate back pain in my lower back and it travels up the left side of my back to about mid way and it has like a burning sensation. I have an appointment tomorrow to meet with an orthopedic surgeon about my back pain. I had an MRI about a week and a half ago, results showed two bulging disks and bone encroachment on my let sciatica nerve/potential nerve damage. My on base doctors original diagnosis was wrong, imagine that. I'm filing complaints on her with patient advocacy and probably the IG. When I saw her for my medical final exam, I had questions about her approving my MRI referral and she basically came unglued and went off on me saying she's a dr and already said it wasn't needed cause she diagnosed me with a muscle spasm. (She cussed me out, and ridiculed me.) The X-ray didn't show anything. Then she was mad at me because I asked her for a 2nd opinion, and said the military doesn't have to pay for sh**, cause I'm getting out in two months. Plus she doesn't know how to manage time at all and is always way late with all her patients. She's a 1st lieutenant and has a fu****** power trip. I went to say something to her and she was like excuse me Technical Sergeant! I cut her off and was like yeah, that's right Tech Sergeant...that's been in for almost 16 years, so don't treat me like some new airman that's only been in for a few years just because you think you can boss then around, at least treat me with the respect I deserve, do you think you could do that LT? Man, I was so upset I was ready to walk out, I regained my composure and stuck it out though. I needed her to sign off on my paperwork. Another thing too, she accused me of lying to her about attending physical therapy. She said I never went because she didn't have any reports of it in her records. I told her yes I did, I attended for 8 weeks and the reason why she didn't have any records is because she failed to follow up with my off base doctors and request those reports. Then I told her I attended therapy off base at a clinic not to far from my house. She's such a terrible doctor, you all have no idea. She told me during our argument that this was her third time in the Air Force. I'm guessing she was forced to resign her commission twice before and no she's back for a third time. Each time, she was in for less than three years otherwise she'd probably have the rank of Captain on by now. Captain is given to them once they hit three years.
