Reo Mini at 6v??

I heard a rumour that you can run a mini with 2 14250's at 6v. has anyone tried? is this true? im really curious if this is possible.

would love to hear some expert opinions

Not that I'm the resident expert at all, but I've only heard of 6v with the Grands and Woodvilles.

Those battery's will fit, but the door will not. I tried it and was even thinking about making a modified door, but the CR2's offer such abysmal battery life that I didn't think it would be worth it. Also the spring is almost totally compressed.

After looking at the size of the batteries, it "MAY" be possible. I wait for some more reo owners to weight in before I attempted it though...

LOL, I was going to add they were "fater" than the 14500's. Guess thats the issue...

The Mini was never designed to run stacked battery's for 6v. there may be battery's out there that will work but I have never found them. And finding protected battery's that small is the trick.

Hi -- I saw a video on Nu-Vapor forum home page where a reviewer tries the Mini at 6V -- I guess it's possible but maybe it's not recommended...

I would ask Rhapsodies Fire or redeyedancer just to be sure.

If you really want to go 6v, the Grand handles it easily; it's taking a chance of damaging the Mini.

i watched this guy add the batteries and close the door, but he never vaped cuz he had a LR atty on and didnt wanna fry the thing.

in that video review, timecode 10:50 (its a 14:42 video so i figured id cut to the chase) he tries a 15270 and its slightly too big, but then puts 2 14250's in.

The only 14250 3v batts I could find are unprotected lithium. That creates a real safety issue between them being unprotected lithium and the fact that they squish the spring down so far that it won't break the circuit if an atty shorts the mod.

haha, yeah...definitely seems dangerous. no reason to f up a good mod with bad advice, just thought id see if anyone was crazy enough to try it.

Not that I'm aware of...but the recommended batteries are the AW IMR 14500's. You may use other batteries (many do) at your own risk. I would not recommend stacking batteries in the mini for any reason.

A reviewer should no better he shouldn't be giving people ideas.Stacking unprotected batteries is a bad idea.
