reo mini locking button

Is there an easy way to make the button not lock anymore on a reo mini? Im not sure I really ever need to lock it, and sometimes it acidentally locks when i try to push it. I certainly dont want to mess up the button tho. I think I heard this could be done with tweezers, by pushing or pulling the tiny screw out from the button. How do I do this with out breaking it?

You can push that pin in to the button. I did it on one of mine using a letter opener.
