Might I suggest that you clean it? You can run some isopropyl alcohol through it. It will flush out debris and dries quickly. Sometimes dust and small particles can cause stickiness.
I concur old juice and a little dirt is enough to stop the button from working properly. Alcohol or some hot water under the faucet move the button up and down as your rinsing it off .If these things fail pm or email me
