Got one of these for a buddy. I kinda knew this was going to be a mistake. He's got issues with EVERYTHING he puts his hands on.

I've had ZERO problems with my MINI.

He's got the new 510 connector. He claims that somehow, the top of the battery is getting wet with juice. I don't know how this is possible and I don't have access to the device. Any ideas? When we got it, I had to loosen the allen screw to make contact with the RM2 atty. I don't see how that would cause juice to get over to the battery.

Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks

I don't see any way the juice could be leaking from the inside of the device. He said it's not a huge leak, but the end of the day, there will be some juice on the top of teh battery. There's no way the 510 connector can leak on the inside I would not think. The other issue is that the new 510 connector is bigger and the Orings we ordered from Rob (2 sized) do not fit around the connector for under the RM2.

I did not replace the fire pin when mine was leaking, i just gave it a good tightening. It did not "feel" wobbly or loose, but gave it a good turn to tighten, and it did tighten up a bit more, & now i have no leaking. But there are other people with leaks that found different reasons/solutions. Check out the other thread that was mentioned in that thread too.
Hope it gets found & fixed for your friend!

ETA-- mine was not 4 days old, but it was only a month old with the second fix of the 510 connection

No leaks for my 2 back from the spa for new ss 510s. So now all 3 with the new 510s leak free.
