Reo mini square bottles

hey everyone I've read all the posts about the square bottles and issues people had you know with them leaking or cracking. I haven't had those issues but I did notice I got a weird taste from one of the bottles at first. I went back to the standard 3 mL bottles and the other day I decided to revisit the square ones. I rinsed them out with alcohol and let them soak all night. I'm using them again now and I'm not getting that weird taste anymore so I'm not sure if it was because I didn't wash it good enough at first or what. Does anyone else remember if they got a weird taste off the square bottles or not?

I used them square bottles for a while, and didn't notice any weird taste at all from them. I too didn't have any leaking issues, until that day one leaked all over the place. The bottle split and I had a slippery mess all over my hands and pocket while driving. Seems it took a couple months for the bottle to fail, and when it did, it was bad, I tossed them square bottles in the trash.

I don’t recall a weird taste. I’m not sure if I used the same bottles though. This was nearly 4 years ago when I picked them up on....was itEbay? They have little pink tops. Anyway, I did experience some leakage from them and now I just use them to transport small amounts of liquid (ie perfume) on flights. They do smell great now. Haha.

I used them quite awhile in my Minis, and I never noticed a smell or a taste. They weren’t ideal, but they were better (to me) than the originals. Oh if we could find a little 6 ml silicone bottle.....
