I am 100% going to get a REO as soon as cash is in hand.

Burn I need some help.

I understand vv grand and mech grands

I have a mech and a vamo but prefer to use my aga t with a 1.2 to 1.5 coil at about 8 Wyatt's

I feel the hit is 100% consistent compared to my mech as voltage drops

So is this in my head? Am I just being crazy? I do about 9 to 10 wraps with 28 kanthal real tight and love the outcome. I don't feel I get the same on my mech.

If answers, advice, knowledge and y'all experience helps me choose what batteries should I seek for either grand or vv grand.

Thank you guys. I'm not a rich dude so I am trying to get all the information I can before I drop the dough.

I want ton get together everything I want and put plan in motion to be a REO owners.

I will go with rm2 for sure.

So...you're asking which we advise you to get....the Grand or the VV Grand? I'm sure others will chime in, but I personally use the VV Grand the most because there is virtually no battery drop off. The Grand is great, but with it there is a gradual drop off with the 18650. The Grand is great because of being all mechanical in the sense that it's very low maintenance and easy to clean. The AW IMR 18650 batteries do a really good job of maintaining voltage over a long period no matter what ohms you're vaping.

+1 for the VV. A mechanical Grand is a must have for several reasons - but I am using the VVs more.

The VV Grand have an old fashioned type of electronics, but because of that, they can pack a good punch and drive higher ohm coils, for me around 1.3 to 1.5 ohms, with a good amount of energy.

To make a mechanical Grand work well with my RBAs, I need to make the coil around 0.6, 0.7 ohms. That's 6 or 7 loops the way I build them. Now with a VV I can do larger coils, 9 to 11 loops, that are heated to the same temperature. This leads to more surface area and, ultimately, to more vapor.

Plus, the button is on the side!

^^^These answers about the VV grand pretty much cover it :)

A VV grand should be part of all vapers arsenal IMO. There's something about it that radiates "you deserve this". it's an elite piece of gear, with its electronics and very awesome button and no firing pin to noalox all neatly packed in the familiar rugged form factor we have come to know and love. It's comforting to know that it will accept all good bottom fed RBAs because anyone who makes a good bottomfed RBA is designing them around the REO grand and a VV grand shares the same width catch cup.

The consistency in the vape is a great side effect too and at the low power I vape at, the batteries last longer than in my grand.

But, a grand is, like I recently heard Will put it, the desert island mod. It goes everywhere I go. It gets washed out in the sink. I know that when its bottle is full and there's a fresh battery in it, I can leave for the day and not even think about it, just push the button and dispense vapor. I've never felt the battery drop off unless I purposely left it in too long.

Chances are, unless your some kind of freak or some bumbling "dude, I'm all about, like .2 ohms" kinda Newman, you'll not be impaired by battery drop off with a grand. It's an 18650 2000 mah battery in there :)

Either a grand or a VV Grand should more than exceed the needs of any normal vaper. so I can only say, I started with grands (well mini 2.0's actually) and bought a VV grand as more of a want item. As robust and productive as a grand is, I certainly didn't need it.

But i am gonna get me another VVG soon. Maybe even a wood one if I can hold out that long. A mans gotta have his backups :)

I too have a VV and a REO Grand. Initially, I was (and I suppose still am) in awe and respect for the Grand. However, I'm noticing the beauty in the VV. If I don't get a coil just right, I can pump up the power on the VV. Yes, it's slightly taller, but the trade offs (to some) maybe worth it. The Grand however retains it's simple troubleshooting ability. Not that much can go wrong, but with the grand, just three things; battery, RBA or button. I mean that's it. Once you throw in an electrical component it can affect the other three and you could be up for a late night. However, I don't ever see that happening. Both units are build like tanks and I love them both so much. That I had to get both. I am happy that you are deciding between the Grand and the VV. The Mini, IMO, is great, but should be a second choice due to battery and fluid capacity limitations; but I love it still. Good luck and I know you will choose the one for you!

I have all "makes and models" being a major REOnut and collector.:) Each size has it's place in my arsenal. Keep in mind that being a woman and carrying a good sized purse, even if only to be left in car for jaunts into stores, gives me plenty of room to carry extra batteries and I keep a 30 ml bottle of juice, in a baggie, at all times. My run out the door REOs are usually one of the Mini size as I can easily pocket them when my mostly women's clothes have pockets (rare). Or they will fit nicely into the tiny purse I carry into stores and other places. It stays in my big purse except when using it. Also, the smaller REOs work better in the pockets of my work aprons.

But..... choice between Grand or VVG???????? That's a tough one. My work and home environment is saturated with microscopic, cementous dust. Imagine DE, any fine grade. Our dust is that size and smaller. It even seeps into the most "sealed" homes. And I have five big to GIANT country dogs carrying it into house 24/7 via doggie door. Even though there are peeps who use their VVGs in dirty working conditions it is extremely rare for peeps to have the conditions I have. So I like to keep the electronics of VVs as protected as much as possible. (My VVGs do take ocassional dives into bodies of water hence my official title "Home of the Swimming REOs.")

The only worries I have about protecting my mechanical REOs from my rough work, extreme environment is protecting the finishes. So the Anodized Silver models are my workhorses as they don't show scratches, dings, gouges unless closely inspected. All they need is a good bath every once in a while.

We have a tiny, few inches of soil, at most over limestone rocks, that constantly work up to surface (actually soil washed/worn away) unless one can keep herds of animals from galloping around on it constantly). It's almost guaranteed that REOs taking a leap outside, at my place will find a rock to land on. (Who needs concrete to abuse a REO????)

What was the original question?

Thanks so much. I do see more REO in my future but I think vv grand is the winner.

I chain vape all day. I go through 115 ml every two wreks . but I have cut my self done to 6mg so I imagine once I am fully used to 6 I'll vape less.

Vv grand will be my purchase. Now

Batteries I see that website. Does it ha e to be those? At 4 batts is almost the cost of a reomizer.

Any where cheaper or would it be worth it to spend the cash.

As said with limited income I don't have time or money to be trying out stuff so if I must spend then so be it but if I can save a buck then w00t

Congrats bro on a wise choice, one you'll surely cherish for many years.

I would get the AW IMR 18350s, and yes, 4 to start out. They're all I use and they perform stellar. You may find cheaper batteries, but I know these are worth every penny :)

I'd recommend buying the best batteries you can afford, which by popular opinion are AWs.

I am also partial to Orbtronic 2900 mAh batteries in my grands. It has always struck me as rather a pointless exercise to spend $200 on a mod and then stuff it with cheap batteries, since ultimately the only thing between you and a fire or explosion is the quality of your power source.

I use and like the orbs too. They are currently out of stock on the orb website. Fluid vaper has them Orbtronic High Drain 18650 2900mAh NCR18650PD Hybrid Li-ion (each) but I've never ordered from them so I can't vouch.
