Also, when you're getting...if you get an RM4, RM5, or RM6, make sure you order an LP REO. They won't fit on your REO unless it's an LP.

I thought the Grand was the one for bigger build attys or is that the LP? Or am I confused on the difference, I thought I read the site correctly?

The Grand is the one that holds the 18650 battery. Its counterpart, the Mini, holds an 18490 battery. The LP refers to the size of the catch cup. A regular catch cup is too tall and deep to accommodate the bigger (larger than 14 mm in diameter) attys. The LP (low profile) has a catch cup that has been shaved off so that ANY atty will work. You can get LP in either the Grand or the Mini...but you have to order it right.

Hope this helps.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I would have so ordered the wrong REO. LP GRAND it is for sure because I will be putting on a larger atty for sure.

i tracked down the videos on how to mod atties

part 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKn2O0oVXMg
part 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFj92vGrOaY
part 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNWjuBudAzY
part 4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJSYdXOvMzU

it is really easy and saves $$. some atties are better using a dremeled channel down the side of the positive post if it isn't a straight through drill like an igo-s positive or an atomic.

i have bottom fed quad and triple coil atties this way [but mostly use rm3,4,6 and a nuppin and a cyclone]

Looks like it....sale is pending

Odin for sale as well with a coveted router drip tip

You might pm redeyedancer and see if he has a blemish LP. The blems in his mods are hard to find and they are cosmetic only. You can usually pick up a blem for about the same price you can get one for in the classifieds if he has any available.

Dang, that would have been a great opportunity for sure...Does redeyedancer have LPs for sale? I don't mind blems for sure, especially if it's my first...

Both these are grands, LP on the left, standard on the right

Be aware that the deck of the grand is 19.5mm wide, so a 22mm atty will have 1.5mm overhang on all edges. The Atomic (RM4) is 19mm, so no overhang. The Nuppin was built for the REO if I remember correctly, so it's 19mm, also. There are only a small handful of RDAs that won't overhang. The RM3 (A6) is actually 14mm, so it sits inside the standard catch cup, but is not unattractive on a LP, either.
