Ok here I go with another question. Thanks in advance for your patience. :)
now that I have my reo on order I was going to get the odin but then thought how nice a black tobh may look with the black wrinkle and brass door. Not to mention I love a tobh atty. So I was trying to sort through all the 1,000's of pages in the reo threads for a visual on modifying the tobh clone. I am not that great with stuff like that but figured for the price it might be he worth a shot if it is not too hard. I do have a drill press....but let me add that when I tried to drill out the airholes on my magma I went straight through the juice well.....LOL. So it may be a challenge but figured it might be worth a shot. Can anyone point me in the general direction of a thread showing pics of modifying a tobh? I will keep looking but thought I would ask in case one of you know off the top of your head.

Go see if the tobh has come up in this thread yet: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-supplier-forum/581604-catfish-atty-mods.html

I'm not specifically familiar with the tobh... but modifying for bottomfed is relatively universal. You just need to modify the center pin and drill a hole in the positive post at the deck level. Modifying the center pin is more successful when you simply carve a channel along the length of the center pin, vs drilling a hold through the center diameter - achieves the same result and is much easier. You can use a dremel or even a hacksaw to carve a channel along the length of the center pin - it doesn't have to look pretty, you don't see it anyway.

I have a dremel. I was just worried about removing the center pin to do this as I have heard some folks have had issues with it spinning.....BUT not sure of that was on the tobh specifically. And was not sure of the center pin was solid.
Thanks for input!
Compared to using a Vmod - it will be. No more Calamity Tunnel - or whatever they call it - with extra parts and nearly impossible to install hidden o-rings. No more having to take it apart to change a battery. No more "tip, squeeze & flip" crap to feed it. (Assuming you didn't mod the Vmod to bottom feed the right way.) There are a lot of annoyances that just go away when you switch from a Vmod to a Reo.
Looking forward to it!
Thank you, will check it out

Kept meaning to check out Chowder's thread... finally did, so thanks for the link. A quick search using that function for the thread, does indicate he mods the tobh. A cool thing about his mods, they are all center bored, not channelled - so you don't have to worry about leaking like some channelled modifications that can rely on bushings holding out for you.

Edit: Personally, I'd let the experienced Chowder to handle an atty of choice for bottom feeding. Don't trust myself with tiny expensive things and big tools lol

I can vouch for the quality of Catfish atty Mods (get it... catfish... bottom feeder....) He's done multiple top drippers to bottom feeder conversions for me. Here is some photos. All of them except one are his work. The single one was a bottom feeder straight from the factory and his conversions actually work better because the juice hole is actually right at the deck level so it can drain excess juice back down into the bottle easier than the higher placed factory juice hole.

Thanks all for the input on the RDAs. I ended up ordering the odin but I am going to keep an eye on the catfish thread and probably out my name on the list for one of his. He was very helpful with my questions via pm.
I knew I would have another question. In preparing for my reo I bought deoxit gold as a recommendation from another reo thread. Do I need to use that straight off or only after some break in time? From what I have read looks like you use it under the spring plate.
Thanks again!

Got my reo on Monday (beautiful) and waited until today once I got my odin to set it up. I think it is a standard and not an LP :(. I can't even get the odin to begin threading on it. Contacted Rob so hopefully I can get it worked out. Hoping it is an easy fix (something I can do).
Loving the black wrinkle/brass tumbled door!!!

i wanted to thank everyone again for all their help with me buying my first reo!

Can you put up a picture of your Reo so we can see what's going on?

Yep I sent him an email because I honestly am not sure if it is an LP or standard. He has been very helpful for me along the way as well so I am not worried at all.

Here is a picture of the top. Sorry it is upside down. I always forget to turn my ipad around before taking pics.

Yeah that is what I thought, glad to know I am not going crazy....LOL. I was like something must be wrong with this rda....LOL. I am probably Going out of town this weekend so was hoping to be able to take it on the road with me. One of the main reason I went ahead and took the leap last week. Going to wait to hear back from Rob but in the mean time I might look to see if i can find some info on how hard it is to file the top down. I know when I was talking to him about the LP he said all his mods now have the upgraded contacts so I assume that means the standard grandes too. I vape at .5 so wanted to make sure.

It's killing me to look at this beauty with a bottle full of juice and not be able to use it :)

Yeah , upside down or otherwise that's definitely a standard profile you got there.

Did you check your order to see what happened? I just hope you didn't put any liquids in it so it can be exchanged.

My invoice says LP
I have never seen a reo in person so I had no idea...hence the reason I went ahead and got it ready to use. Then when my rda came in and I coiled and wicked it, it became obvious it me something was not right. So, yes, I do have liquid in the bottle that is in the reo but I have not squeezed it so no juice in the well at all or even up the tube. Going to leave it like that until I hear back from Rob.

As long as it has the new contacts for sub ohm set ups I don't mind filing the top down whether it be me or Rob.

Gotcha! I think I have asked that question 101 times....LOL and always get the same answer. At some point it will sink in :). I sent him a pm through here too. I am confident he will help me take care of it. I can't say enough nice things about Rob, he has been very kind and helpful to me this far.
I really just wanted to update this thread to say it's here and I am official :). Just can't use it yet but she sure is purty to look at :)
