I asked this question over at the newbies forum.... Didn't see this forum or I would've asked here instead.... Anyway....

I'm considering getting back into vaping after taking leave of it for about a year (have been smoking cigs for that time frame). I saw these bottom feeding box mods and they have me very intrigued. They seem to solve most of the things the drove me away the last time (mess, cartridges with filler material, constantly have to refill carts, short battery life, inconsistent draws etc.). Right now the Journeyman has most of my attention. The Wetbox seems like a good value, I'm not sure that I like the cartomizer idea and it seems limited in application (only cartomizers and 3.7V). I've also read comments about juice killing the switch on the Wetbox (wonder if that has been fixed)? However, the price of the Wetbox gets some attention. I've read several reviews hear about the REO, The Journeyman and the Wetbox but I haven't seen many that compare the 3. Anybody have any input?

Just found out the Kaji is coming out with the Ali'i. I can't post links yet, but it should come up in a search. Wonder what view you folks might have on it. It looks very impressive.

I was actually in the same position as you a few days ago. I wanted my first mod to be one that contained a bottle of fluid for self-refilling. Also, these V4L batteries I have seem to have a life of 1-2 hours, so whenever I go anywhere, I end up having to take like 5 fully charged batteries with me. The nice thing is that the rechargeable batteries for the Wetbox can be found for like $4.30 a pair on the Internet (vs. $16-18 for one V4L battery) and they last all day supposedly.

So, I ended up purchasing the Wetbox from VaporJunction a few days ago. My reason for choosing the Wetbox over nicer ones like the REO and Journeyman was the price ($55 vs $120-$140). If I like the Wetbox I'll probably end up buying the REO or something similar.

I'll let you know how I like my Wetbox when I receive it. Also, I'll let you know how the ship time, etc is with VaporJunction, as this is my first order with them.

Got the Wetbox from Vaporjunction. They're fast.

i'm liking the Wetbox, and although i have nothing else to compare it to, it seems like
a good value. Very efficient little PV. No massive clouds of vapor, but gets me through
the day easy. Still, i'm getting my hands on one of Kaji's mod (or both); Way too cool.

I went through the same dilemma recently since I wanted something that was easy to use while driving in traffic.

After a lot of research and questions, I decided on the Reo. It is more expensive but:

1. It uses an 81650 battery for longer vape time.
2. 6ml bottle of juice so I only have to fill it once per day.
3. Will use 801, 901, and 510 atomizers or cartomizers. It is a native 801 device but comes with the adapters for 901 and 510.
4. Flexible hose which makes inserting the bottle easy.
5. Made from solid wood and very sturdy. ( He will have a metal version soon.)
6. Has an on/off switch so I can throw it in my purse without worrying.

After nearly a month of using it continually, I still am very impressed. The Reo is also holding up well despite the fact that I am rather abusive to my mods and have dropped this one twice on concrete.

I'm very interested in the Ali'i juice box from Kaji. I wish there was more information as to how to access the battery and bottle area. I'm sure it's an improvement over the journeyman, but there's not much info on the forums or their website, yet. It does appear to be available for purchase...

Well...it WAS available for purchase.

Kaji had a sale on the first batch of 3.7v/6v models yesterday and they were literally gone in 20-30 minutes. He says they are shipping out this week. He has almost finalized the newer 5v regulated version and, last i heard, those would be available on Friday.

I was lucky enough to get one of the pre-sale models and will definitely follow up with a full review. It looks awesome...can't wait.

I'm very excited to hear more info about the Ali'i as well. Looking forward to your review. This thing looks like the first ergonomic 18650 bottom feeder.

I have a wood REO, two REO Minis, and two Phidias mods. All are excellent bottom feeders that provide hassle free vaping. I've been asked several times which one a prefer, but I like them all, so I don't really prefer one over the other. Before thinking of investing in a WetBox, do a search here on ECF to see what others are saying about them.

I think the consensus on the WetBox is kind of split, if not tippd towards people not liking them. I think if you're a cartomizer user, you'll love it. If you're an atomizer user, you might not. It is rather inexpensive, which was part of the turn-on for me. Will it last me as long as some of the other bottom-fed mods? Probably not...but it does what it's supposed to do - vapes.

That being said, I'd love a Reo Grand.

I have a Kaji JM, and I love the thing. I don't know how much I would like it without the 18650 though. It seems to me that a smaller battery may not handle cooking off the xtra juice you accidentally get in there every so often. But man, talk about consistent monster hits lol. This thing hits like a tank. Granted I had to glue the bottom back on after a hard spill the other day, but hey what do you expect? It's made out of friggin wood lol.

Don't have any other bottom feeders to compare to, but I'd say if you get a chance, buy one!

I been following the forums for a while now. Currently on safe cig. I was thinking of ordering the kr8, then came across this post. After watching a utube video the journeymen had 6 mill of e-juice? Now I am thinking maybe I should order that one or maybe do some research on the wetbox?

It seems like maybe the bottom feeders gives you the flexability to vape all day long with out having to change batteries or e-juice expect for maybe once a day. I find there is so many to choose from that it can be a bit over whelming sometimes.

I am looking to switch from the safe cig to something most cost effective on a month to month basis but with out a lot of hassle so I guess I am torn between the kr8 and now this lol. I am so so so grateful for the ecf and the helpful people here.

The KR8 got me off of cigarettes, and it was my everyday vape for the first 10 months. I dabbled with atomizers off and on, but had no patience for dripping or short-lived cartridges, so I stuck with the KR8. I got pretty good at quickly dunking my cartos using the condom method to refill, but it was still a bit of a pain and mess. When the WetBox came out last summer, I bought one (to use with cartomizers), as the 3ml juice supply was appealing. It worked pretty well, but is not a particularly robust device - its needle-feed often leaked juice back into the box, and the switches were prone to failure. But I was sold on the concept, and kept my eye out for a more industrial-strength design. I bought a REO Mini in September shortly after they became available, and haven't looked back since. It is all-mechanical, built like a tank, uses non-proprietary batteries, and requires very little maintenance. It enabled me to switch to atomizers - I now use low-res 306 atomizers from avidvaper or Ikenvape, and get very good life out of them. I liked the Mini so well that I bought a Grand and another Mini, though I didn't really need them - just a luxury to have multiple PV's loaded with different flavors and the Grand's 6ml juice bottle and longer battery life were appealing as well. But my favorites are still the Mini's - I like their size and pocket-friendliness, and don't mind carrying some spare batteries with me.
