you're thinking linearly not cubically. it's 33.333% bigger in all directions

I need to do some calculations. Lol

I'll be. The difference in area is 78%. Gonna have to say that is pretty crazy.

Now how can I get rid of this dang cough/cold you wizards of math.

Guys, once you enlarge the air hole to 1/16, does it make it more likely to leak when you squonk? I'm thinking about enlarging my air hole to 1/16, but I'm a hard squonker, and I don't look when I squonk.

Let's see, the stock air hole is 3/64. 1/16 is a 33% increase in diameter, which is a 77% (1.33 squared -1) increase in the size of the hole (area). That's a pretty big change I would say.

Maybe it's not that big of a deal if you vape high VG, but what about thinner juices?

When I drilled one out to 5/64 it leaked much easier than the 1/16 does. The 1/16 does not really leak during squonking. I can see the juice rise above the air hole and it does not leak out. But if you have excess juice or a lot of condensation then it can leak out if you leave the Reo tilted with the air hole down. Like in the pocket of suit, I just make sure to always place it with hole up. All of my RDAs are drilled to 1/16, even the chalices.

it all depends on if you have a mech reo or vv reo i suppose, most mech users seem to be about 1/16 or higher and vv users below 1/16

i remember the first time i used the rm2 with standard airhole it had loads of flavour, one thing led to another and i drilled it out to 1/16 and i didnt like it, thought i had killed the flavour, well i tryed a standard rm2 cap/airhole yesterday and couldnt get any taste lol

it really doesnt take long to get used to it, but 1/16 for me on my mech is perfect :)

Or you could get a cyclone...they have one with air flow control, one without, and you can choose bottom feed or not. I have these 3 and i don't think I'll ever try a reomizer honestly. Here they are one is 1/16 (the smaller) the other two are waiting for sub ohm kits, single and dual holes =D

True, you could get a Cyclone if anyone in the world actually had them in stock. No such luck.

Big change indeed. I went from 3/64 to 1/16 and seemed like a little but made a huge difference!! Was too airy for me. The next time I enlarged I just used the 3/64 bit and reemed around the edges after drilling. Came out a little larger than 3/64 but not as big as 1/16. Came out perfect for me. Same idea as the round file enlarging little by little.
