So, I decided to take Friday off, and sat down to recoil my RM2s. Why? Well, why not. I declared this a Reo Cleaning Day, which means coil building as well. Off with the 3 coils, 8-wrap some 28awg kanthal, giving approx 1.15-1.2 ohm, screw them on the different Reos, take the cap, screw on and.......Huh?
One of my three RM2s have the threading 180deg off the two others, which means that the airhole ends up on the opposite side of the coil if I use the cap from the other two Reomizers. Weird. It's not slightly off, it's exactly opposite each other.
I guess that it's pure chance that I haven't noticed this before, since I tend to do coils in a single session. In other words, I've had a 66% chance of getting it wrong, but in the last 5 attempts (I went through a period of coil testing
) that hasn't happened.
Just thought I'd throw this out there, anyone else come across this?
