i used to live on a cable car line... got so used to the sound of the trolly that it would wake me up at 2am when the cable would shut off.

second coil was 1.4 and much tighter/more uniform.

The RM2 is almost too easy to build a coil on. I have been perfectly happy with all but one of my coils, which was still pretty good, but not ideal. Still, I find myself wanting to re-coil every day for some reason. I have a stupid-large roll of 28g Kanthal in the mail heading my way that isn't going to help the situation at all...
