Just touched down in Buffalo, should be on my doorstep today, only 7 hours of work left... got my brass door yesterday, no chance for patina yet, I'm hoping Sunday as I have to take down my pool tomorrow. I'll drop the obligatory pictures as soon as I can. I just needed to share the anxiety so many have felt before me.

Which brass door did you order? I wanna patina one also, but I'm waiting until the plain one is back in stock. Only ones I saw available are the SL and the engraved one.

I got the engraved one, I'm going to take a shot at protecting the engraving to keep it bright brass while I do the patina, we'll see though.

Yea, I'll do my best to photograph the process in case it turns out well, I haven't decided between trying to trace the letters or leaving a square of brass, but I've got time.

Man, what a bummer. Did you mean to order the upside down version? I had one but it leaked like a stuck pig. You should try the standard right side up models, they're sweet!

I'll definitely keep everyone up on the patinas. Probably in a new thread. Yea I tried to get it right in the family photos thread like 4 times then I gave up. The cool thing about the upside down version is if you vape it upside down they're almost the same, they just don't stand up very well.
