My 1 year anniversary is approaching and I have decided on my next step up/treat.

1. I currently use a VTR. How would a Grand compare size and weight wise in my hand?

2. To allow for the most choices in attys for use should I go for a LP?

3. I currently get at least a full day off an 18650 2900mah using a pt2 with a 1.9 -2.2 ohm coil in the 7.5 to 9.5 w range and 6mg juice.
What ohm range should I shoot for on builds at first?
Should I plan on having to adjust the nic level?
Will 2 batteries be enough to get me started or should I plan on needing 3 (2 for the day and 1 in reserve)?

The Reo Grand is a good bit smaller than the VTR. I have an MVP and the Grand is smaller. I would start off with an LP Grand with an LP RM2. Start with a coil in the 2 ohm range. This grand hits harder than any regulated mod. You will have to wait and see if you need to lower your nic level. I use 1 18650, either an AW IMR, or a Sony VTC5 and I'm good all day at work until I get home. Hope this helps. And congrats on 1 year!

Great gift for your 1 year! I use AW IMR 1600 mAh, two are 3 years old, but they still last all day on a 1.6-2.0 coil. I would get 3 batteries.

A regular Grand and an RM2 is all you need, so if the LP color, RM2, etc. is not in stock, you won't be disappointed.

Get a button cover right away because you will want one as soon as you see photos from others here. I went for 3 years without one and it really was an improvement.

Congrats on the year! I'd also add that the Grand is quite a bit lighter than the VTR. A lot lighter. I've got both and I haven't touched it in 2 months until I picked it up just now to compare the weights. You'll love a Reo! Of course, you're in Reoville. We all love Reos :)

Guys and gals, a minor correction:

A REO is an AWESOME gift, ANYtime of the year, for ANY reason! Better to get to REOville later than never IMO.

Also, if the style/color choice you are looking for isn't in stock, PM Rob (redeyedancer) your request, and he'll Fantasy Island it all up for you.

Ah, the things we take for granted! You are absolutely correct!!! Of course, I do my part, without coming across as a salesman or pushy and when the opportunity arises, to let others know there is something they might want to at least look at :)

Thanks for all the help with my questions :). LP Grand it will be. (unless there is a surprise woodville offering)
I just didn't want to go any bigger or heavier than the VTR.

I can wrap PT coils with one eye closed and a hand tied behind my back. So I'm ready to tackle a real atty.

LP RM2, LP Grand, and button cover are already on my list. I should be good with my current battery inventory.

Anything else I should put in the cart spare parts wise?

One year Mrs C, that is fantastic. Congrats!

I picked up a couple 6 ml bottles so I could swap juice mid-day if I wanted and for weekend trips.

I haven't had mine long but it is my traveling partner every day at work, hell it my traveling partner everywhere.

I'm a big fan of the RM2 @ .8 ohms of twisted 28.

You'll love the REO, great way to celebrate your success.

Oh how I love my Reo. At first I used it for at work and on the go but its pretty much taken over at home too. My other mechs, regulated mods, drippers, and kayfun kind of just sit in a cabinet now.

To anser your question though, the LP will give you more options but unless you get the RM2 (great atty) you'll still be limited on RDAs...unless you can mod your own. I take two AW 1600mah bats to work and usually make it through a 12 hour shift with one, though sometimes I do have to use the back up...and thats on a .6ohm build.

Grab an extra spring or two while you're at it, it's like, if you have them, you won't need them, but if you don't have them, then you're dead in the water while you wait for the mail delivery of the ones you should have gotten "just in case" I've never had a short, so I've never had to replace a spring, but that's because I got extra springs a week after I got my first REO (when I ordered my 2nd one LOL)

Couple of extra bottles. And screws for the RM2. (And a spring or two as mentioned by others.) If it were me I'd order a repair kit as well. Kind of overkill if you get the other things but if you have the cash it's better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it. IMO, of course. I lost 2 screws from my atty and had no spares. Talk about panic (I didn't have my second Reo at the time.) I found them but it was a good 30 minutes of teeth gnashing.....

You've gotten some good answers but I have to warn you, visitors to Reoville rarely ever leave

on the year. Isn't it wonderful. I had a vtr for about a week so I did not use it that long but I used it long enough to know there is no comparison between that and the reo. Treat yourself, you won't regret it. Good luck to you and happy vaping. :)

I had to order new springs because hubs shorted out 3 in a matter of about 10 minutes when he thought beading wire was ok... fyi... It's not!! lol so extra springs, meter, extra orings, more batteries than you think you will need. RM2, button cover, wire and wick. Don't be surprised if your favorite flavor turns out to be nasty, mine did. I was all about the coffee flavors but when I switched to the REO and the flavors were no longer muted I realized that I didn't care for those anymore and now I vape vanilla cupcake... who knew?! lol.

Really? By the specs the Reos Grand is 1-1.5 mm larger in width and depth. I was about to buy one of these MVP x2 Cup Holder but I was hesitant due to the 1-1.5mm. I have a help ticket in already.
