Perfect...thank you! I need to make a batch to bring to my sister's on Monday. I may even UP the garlic -- can never have too much garlic. :)

Oh, yeah...I LOVE Kimchi, too.

If you like garlic, I would double what I used. I was surprised it was as muted as it is. For a party, use a spoon to make a crater in the center, pour a little olive oil in there and garnish with some real red peppers. Yum!

Sounds like fun! Would you happen to be a stealth vaper? ;)

RM2 and a grand make it virtually IMPOSSIBLE to be stealth!

Gonna park on my couch and hope to sprout roots tomorrow, cause monday i get to go reset the seasonal aisle at work to halloween. working retail will make you hate hollidays.

you can say that again....it took me at least 7 years after my last retail job where I could even tolerate christmas music again...even went a couple of years with minimal decorations because I just didn't have it in me. Angry & panicked shoppers can really kill the holiday spirit for those who work retail, never mind the constant festive bombardment of music and imagery. I feel for ya, Seames.... Enjoy your root growing day tomorrow. :)

I just can't bring myself to do the crime scene tape thing -- lol.

OMG -- these tourists are sooooooooo horrible. Parents will change baby diapers in the back of their SUVs then THROW the dirty diaper on our lawns. I've found empty booze bottles in my scrubs, dirty underwear........and other things. I've come home to find people sitting ON MY PORCH. OMG. I relish the end of the summer.

Have you tried ...

For all those that work retail, my heart goes out to you. I can't imagine the aggravation and stress you endure.

This reminds me of a story I heard years ago. I was visiting Amish country. I asked a family if I could look around their farm and they said sure, no problem. They thanked me for asking. The man told me that he has had people just walk right into his home uninvited as though it was a museum. Can you imagine. He said that had happened multiple times.

Well, my parents have a farm that has its own stream. We used to have problems with people mooring up and then wandering around our grounds. Most of them came from the camping site on the other side of the lake.

All it took was for my dad to release our rottweiler, say "guard" and leave it at that. After a couple of weeks the problem stopped.

A couple of years later we found out that the owner of the campgrounds had put up a sign with a picture of our dogs, with a big "Beware" plastered all over it.

We gave him a couple of bottles of scotch :D He became a firm friend of the family afterwards :)

I generally hate tourists, although I'm often one myself. I hope I never act like those we have experienced

You'd never act like that. We have no objection to tourists -- it just seems reasonable to expect they behave like human beings.

shhhhh...convenience store about 4 blocks west from the beach. Tourists will run in half-naked -- yelling at the employees and patrons, "WHERE IS THE BEACH?" I've been known to direct them, "make a left at the traffic light -- just keep driving." Well, turning left will take them (eventually) to the Pacific Ocean. I'm bad. ;)

That's just mean. LOL My dad was a mechanic with his own garage. He got so sick of people (customers) just walking around and picking up anything/everything off his tool benches that he used to put an electrical charge on some of the "parts" (spark plugs, mainly, if I remember correctly) so that when they picked one up, they'd get a shock. Stopped a lot of their perusing....

NO DOUBT...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I'm literally laughing out loud

My solution cost them a few gallons of gas -- your dad's solution cost them a few brain cells. ;)

While listening to the radio, quite often you'll hear about people walking around the Amish farms uninvited. You'll also hear about folks filming the kids at their schools, even though they should be aware of what went down here a few years back at Nickle Mines, they do it anyway and throw a fit when the po po shows up.

Hehehe, They like to park out in front of our station to either look around or figure out where they're at (if they don't come into our station to ask for directions first). Once in a great blue moon I'll get a little extra evil and collect my partner, and go flying out station with our lights on, sirens and air horn blaring......the look on their faces and the way they spaz out is priceless! I know I'm mean but after doing that a few times it seems as though less and less folks block our driveway!
