Repairing GGTS button/switch

I'm looking for info on how to, if possible, repair the button switch on my GGTS. Mine overheated and now I have no spring action at all in the switch. I can still use it but have to remember to rotate it into the lock position each time after taking a hit. I noticed COV has some but they are pretty expensive and of course it takes about 5 or 6 days to get one. Thanks.

If you unscrew your button, there is an internal spring. You will need to replace that spring.

I would be more concerned by your GG heating up enough to kill the spring. You need to check for shorts and toss those batts. I wouldn't trust them any more.

Ok, I'll look into that. I did get the button open and see the spring inside. I think the heat has damaged it to where it's not very springy anymore. Thanks.

Magnets are really cool and I was using them for long time but after a while I could not get 100 % firing, no mather
how much I clean them, so I went back on spring

Any hardware store has the right size spring, if you have calipers the job of finding the right one is easier but I am sure if you buy the assorted spring pack from home depot you will find one the right size though it will proabably need to be cut with wire cutters to the right length.

You can order them from just about anyone who sells ring magnets.....just make sure you order the correct dimensions. The last ones I bought were about 15 cents each

unscrew the head of the button from its base. Use pliers to keep the base and use a polygonal tool to unscrew the head V2

3,2-3,5mm hole and 5mm external diameter. 2-2,5mm fat

I just emailed a magnet site about them and gave those measurements that Imeo posted and a picture of them. So hopefully I will find a connection for them and we can all have them

They're not the exact dimensions, but they worked for me, and they worked for others I told about them, so they just might work for you as well.

Model R0602 - 6mm x 3.5mm x 2mm N38 Nickel Plated Neodymium Magnet - Ring - $0.14/each.
