Hello all,

I heard about ecigarettes some time ago and looked into it. I got confused to the point I gave up. A few days ago I decided to check up on the ecig deal to see how it is and ran into this forum. Like others I've read plenty of times, I did quite a bit of research, looking for the best one possibly for me. I got overwhelmed, but decided to buy one in spite. I purchased a DSE801 with a manual battery, as I've read a lot of good reviews, and a lot of people say it's good for newbies. Very anxious to try this out.

To the point, after all my research there are still a few unanswered questions that don't effect me too much on the answer. As far as I'm aware, a cart contains material to hold the juice. Also, the act of vapor differs in smoking. So my two vital questions are;

1) Is it fine for me to carry a fully assembled ecig around in my pocket without having to worry about any juices spilling out and into my pocket, or worse, in my battery?

2) As far as I read, when first switching over, I am supposed to take longer, lighter drags. Is this correct?

Thanks for you time.

1: if u have a sealed battery, which i'm sure ur manual battery is, leaking into the battery is not an issue...leaking may still be a problem though, if u plan to carry it around assembled, maybe u should get a carrying case, just in case juice does leak...
2: yes, u must pull gently to get more vapor, its sort of like drinking thick milkshake thru a straw, if u pull too hard, u'll get nothing (or in this case, little vapor or juice in ur mouth)...

Hi Wellner, I'm just getting into the whole e-cig thing myself, but I'll tell you what my experiences are. :)

I carry my PV around in the back pocket of my jeans, my shirt pocket, and anywhere in-between. Juice leakage has not been a problem. The atomizer is between your cartridge (with the juice) and your battery: any, if any, leakage should be stopped by the atty. Also, the juice is kinda thick - think syrup. It's not subject to the laws of gravity as much as say, water is.
It is also a kick to take a couple vapes in front of the uninitiated and then put your PV back into your shirt pocket! ;)

As far as longer, lighter drags? That's up to your personal preference. When you get your PV, you'll see what I mean. It's pretty intuitive and open to experimentation and personal preference.

Welcome to the cleaner machine!

Thanks for the input, its settled any questions I have before starting myself. I'm aware there's a learning curve, and most of it is personal experience. I'm just hoping I got enough liquid to last me long enough to decide and order ahead of time if I decide to continue this route. I'm also curious; about how long does a bottle of eliquid last you, as well as how heavy of a smoker were you before switching? Just wondering how far a 10mL bottle will take me when I smoke 20-30 analogs a day.

it depends, its part of the learning curve...some ppl need more nicotine than they thought they would and others need much less no matter what or how much they used to smoke...but u should def. get more than 10ml...it'd also help if u got diff. strengths just in case u get something is too light or too strong...keep in mind that any strength at 36mg or higher is more intended for mixing/diluting to a lower strength...

I have only been vaping for 4 days now. Got my kit with 5 pre-filled cartridges. I was a pack-a-day smoker. I'll be honest with you: you're gonna want to hang on to a pack or two of analogs while you get used to vaping your nicotine. :)

I can't answer how long a 10 ml bottle lasts, as I got my kit on Saturday around Noon and was through the 5 pre-filled carts by Monday at Noon, but that was with a lot of experimentation, fiddling and generally getting used to vaping. Fortunately, I had also ordered some more pre-filled cartidges and received them Monday by Noon, so I didn't have a break in my nicotine juice supply. But I did go through a whole pack of analogs over the weekend, sort of a fallback to the whole process. Monday I also received a bottle of banana-flavored juice from another vendor along with some empty cartridges, but I have only dabbled in that aspect of the habit/hobby so far, so I am not really qualified to comment on how that goes.

I am sure someone else will "pipe up" with their experience on how long stuff lasts. The good thing is, this wonderful forum is always here for you to read and post your question on!

Happy vaping!

Bob
