Replacement for "post new thread button" when you don't have permissio

As a new user I am not allowed to post in certain areas, which makes sense, but at first I just thought I was lost.

I signed up specifically because I had a problem which I wanted to get some advice on, so if there was anything obvious saying "you can't post until..." I missed it by just rushing through. I did find the sticky telling me why I couldn't post and noticed the section at the bottom of the page saying I can't post, but at first I just thought I couldn't find the "post new thread" button. It was a little irritating, although entirely my fault, but I doubt I'll be the only person to do this.

I suggest that, instead of removing the "post new thread" button, you instead replace it with something. A typical option would be to grey it out instead, but I think it would be good if you replaced it with a red button saying "you cannot post here yet" which, when clicked, links you to the sticky detailing why.

ECF is heavily modified. Each change that is implemented is one additional thing for the server admin's to do whenever there's a software update for the forum. What you're asking for would require a change for not only the default style being used, but the other 7 that are available as well. There has to be some accountability on the part of the user to avail themselves to the information provided for new members. This is one of those times. ;)
