Replacing 510 connection in vmax

Somehow my threads are messed up. Has anyone gutted this thing and installed a new 510 connection? Thanks in advance.

Haha that's exactly what I did. I'm using a Penelope so I don't even want to try to force it into the 510 fitting. I did manage to get an old Boge 510 to "screw" in, but it's not secure, by any means. Something is definitely wrong with the stock threads.
