So I just successfully dry burned two of my ProTank heads but the flavor wicks on one of them had all but disintegrated. I've looked around and see that I can either replace those using cotton or Peaches and Creme yarn from Walmart. I also read that if I buy cotton that I should get organic. So far so good. I want to emphasize that I'm only looking to replace the flavor wicks at this time. I'm not looking to make my own coils and all that (not yet).
Now, which would you suggest I use? It seems as if the cotton yarn would be easiest, just cut it, place it and trim it when done. Do I need to boil the yarn first or just make sure it's fully saturated before starting to vape (or both)? I haven't been to the store yet to see the yarn (and I'm not an artsy craftsy person) but if I remember yarn correctly from my grade school days one strand of yarn is actually made up of a few very thin strands to make one regular strand (Lordy, am I wordy or what?). If this is the case am I going to use the entire strand or thin it out a little or is that just dependent on the viscosity of the juice I'm using and trial and error? Or would cotton balls, twisted be better? What is generally the preferred method?
Thanks for any and all input.
