MBV's Zinger got me thinking about it. I just got a box of raspberry zinger, made a cup, and drank it down in a few swallows. The basis of their Zinger teas is Hibiscus, which I got from Wizard. I now have some Ginger flavoring from Flavor West to pep it up for the Chinese Hibiscus element. (I may put a few drops into anything that is too sweet)

The ingredients are listed on the side panel: Hibiscus, rosehips, roasted chicory, orange peel, blackberry leaves, raspberries and raspberry leaves.

I don't know what the chicory would do, but maybe a few drops of a coffee flavor?

I don't think I see anything difficult about this. Has anyone else tried, either the zingers or whatever else they like?

Really, if you have ever done a tour of their plant in Colorado, you will know why I am interested in this. :p

OK. I did it. I poured 30 ml PG/VG onto a pair of teabags in a cup. Nuked it for 30 sec. I thought "Oh, I've probably wasted a lot of base." Put it in a 50 ml bottle, poured a bunch more base on top, and a good squirt of sweetener.

I LIKE IT!!!
You didn't get a brunt taste after a few hits?

Nope. But you have to realize that I did not aggressively try to pull the flavorings out of the teabags. I use a nano for tasting, and already emptied it once.

It is a very dark red juice. I actually like it better straight, with no sweetener or additional base. Naw, straight is a bit overwhelming.

My guess is that your coils will start to gunk later tonight/tomorrow. I had the same issue with tea extractions. They tasted fantastic, but they gunked hardcore. Come to think of it, I don't know why I didn't pursue this further. Since we only have one issue and it's been diagnosed, the solution can't be too hard to reach. Time to research filtration methods.

The Plant Matter is absorbed into the PG or VG no amount of filtration will help that. I have had some success with adding Alcohol to the PG and Extracting into that mixture, but it's still too early know for sure.

I want to use up these nanos anyway. So if this stuff will gunk coils, which I know it will, 'cause it is so dark, a dry burn will help, right?

I've had great luck just taking two tea bags of your favorite flavor tea, and immersing them into plain juice. Then nuke it for a few seconds, and set it into a bath of hot water for 10 minutes or so. Then leave the tea bags in it for a day. Put on some rubber gloves, and squeeze the tea bags as you remove them - toss in the trash. Makes a perfect strong tea juice every time. Tried it with Constant Comment - awesome. Thinking of replicating it with some mint tea.

Yeah. Maybe I was not gentle enough with the process. LOL I am going to dilute what I made last night with the rest of of my stock, and start over. I may have to doctor it up with some commercially made flavors, but I am headed in the right direction.

But right now I noticed that my spiced cider is frosting a clearo, so I need to switch it into a Davide.

OK. I covered one teabag with some base, steeped it without heat for 24 hours, removed and squeezed the teabag, and added an equal amount of more base to it. It tastes true to flavor, and hopefully won't crud coils as bad. However, it is a nice lively red color. I'll try some others later that don't have as much color. And Constant Comment is a good idea, too.

The appropriate word in the title of the thread shouldn't be "replicate", but transform .......... into juice.
