My take, when I reviewed the vinirette site, is that it's weird for a German supplier to have a UK specific website, but they clearly do, and are focusing on the UK market with it.

May be that Shining Wit doesn't care for competition, or...who knows, really. Over to you.

PS- It may be that I'm unkindly suspicious of Shining Wit's motives, merely because he has more RRs and Infractions than anyone I've ever seen. Geez. Three PAGES of them.

I kinda told them (Vinerette) that they can advertise in UK sub forum as they specifically are targetting UK ..
I had thought at first Euro too but changed my mind based on logic..if only sells to UK..should be permitted to use UK sub forum..

I think we will have to base this on where they are physically located.

If Suppliers can post anywhere they own a domain name for, it doesn't make any sense, as they could post in the UK forum even if they are in China, or in the CAN forum even if they are in Korea. So it looks as if we will need to have our policy set up that a Supplier needs to be located in a region in order to advertise in that region's specific forum (if we have one for it).

If they can show they have a business address (i.e. have their stock there and ship from there) in a given country, they can advertise in that country's forum - but not if they are shipping from another country - because a customer will assume they are shipping from CAN if they are advertising in the CAN forum as a CAN business). Shipping from China while advertising as a CAN business is a form of masking in the end, and we should not allow that.

So:
If in the UK, they can advertise in the UK forum.
If in Germany, they can advertise in the DE forum.
If in the EU, they can advertise in the EU forum.
A DE business can advertise in the DE and EU forums but not in a UK, FR or NL forum for example.
If they are in CAN they can advertise in the CAN forum. Not if they are in China.
Advertising in a specific country forum is basically a statement that this is where they are located.

This seems a logical policy - any issues please?
