I remember when I started vaping (Jun 2009), I researched ECF and the websites of UK vendors that existed at the time, looking for an eliquid that seemed to be manufactured under 'hygienic' conditions, in a lab or summat. I was very wary about buying Chinese eliquid because of ',,,,,,***********,,,,,,,' (insert any irrational reason), so I wanted to buy British.
At the time, the only British 'manufacturer' of eliquid I could find was Intellicig. Their website was full of men/women in white coats, sterile looking rooms and their products were called ECOPure. How fantastic!!!! I could buy British 'made' eliquid that was pure and eco-friendly from a sterile lab in Manchester,,,so I did
I really did not like the flavour (ECOPure Rich), but they only did that and Menthol I think, so I was forced to look elsewhere or return to the turds. I did further research and found out that Dekang made around 90% of the world's eliquid and they were Chinese. I looked for pictures of where the stuff was manufactured and felt comfortable after seeing huge laboratories filled with hair-netted, be-gloved workers.
Filled with this re-newed confidence, I purchased the branded eliquid from a number of UK sites and enjoyed its consistency and flavour. I guessed that most of it would be Dekang even though only Liberty Flights, ECIS and MistEliquid actually declared it to be so on their websites at the time. I later found out that the letters YNDK on the child-proof lids was the give-away
Sometime last year, the main man behind the Dekang flavourings moved to a company called Hangsen. A number of UK vendors, most notably LF and Genesis, moved from stocking Dekang to stocking Hangsen eliquid, which I generally like less,,,for some unknown reason!
I have brought this up on the forum before and I may sound like a cracked record (whatever one of those is these days!) BUT why do many vendors NOT tell us who their eliquid is made by and where it is made?
Sometimes as consumers, we encounter problems of inconsitency, changes of flavour and the odd dodgy batch of rubbery flavoured liquid. If we knew where our vendors were getting their liquid from, we could make informed choices about future purchases.
Over the next few days, I am going to look through vendors sites and try and identify who makes their eliquids and I will update this blog as I go on. In future, I will only buy from those vendors who clearly states who makes their eliquids - I may be cutting off my nose to spite my face BUT so what!!

Original - manufactured by Hangsen. This is not totally clear apart from where it is mentioned for the Chinese unflavoured. Our trails have led us to sourcing what we believe is the highest quality juice; the flavor and purity of which, is excellent."
XO - manufactured by ENJuice although this is not clearly stated in the shop.
Decadent Vapours - manufactured by Decadent Vapours.

Well that takes me to page nine of that Google search! I hope you can see why a lot of smokers end up buying poor kits from vendors that us enthusiasts would not consider good examples. They seem to spend more money on their Google accounts!!
