I have a buddy that has tried vaping a few times over the past few years. I set him up with mods/ tanks i don't use anymore. He makes it a couple days, then stops. He says he misses the tobacco flavor. I stick to fruity mixes, however I just got ahold of some capella cinnamon Danish swirl. Mixed up a small batch to try, shake and vape wasn't bad at all, will let it sit a week and see what happens. Back to my original reason for posting. A mix that has a marlboro 27 blend flavor... any help appreciated.

I wouldn't work too hard. I am fairly certain it is not the tobacco "flavor" he is missing, and I would probably buy like some cheap, uh, almost expired premixed really cruddy tobacco flavor premade juices, since he smokes Marlboros, and then when he failed you will NOT have wasted all your precious time.

He's not smoking Cuban cigars he is smoking MARLBOROS.

Get some crap, for cheaper than the flavoring, shove em in the bottles you normally use.

I was smoking 3 ppd before the end and TRUST me even *I* was not deluded enough to think "I miss the flavor" as I slowly, painfully detoxed. It was like the ONLY thing I did not miss.

I was mainly thinking, "Who gets an oxygen tank at age 41, not ME that is for DAMN sure."

Whenever you are working harder than the non vaper just PLEASE give it up as a bad job.

I don't vape tobacco flavors but you might want to read and ask in this thread...
Tobacco Lover
There are plenty of knowledgeable tobacco folks posting some good info.

I am certain a few of the folks there would have some solid ideas for you to try. Likely better tasting than Marlboro 27's too.

There are a few other tobacco and NET threads in the DIY sub.

TFA Western is a close cowboy killer. I can't remember the percentages but a 60vg 40pg and 4% will put you in the game. Your friends problem is he has not matched his equipment and nicotine level to his habit. You get the right level and the switch will happen overnight or a few days.

Ok its not as stiny as cigarettes but really close in taste in my opinion
Trying to match flavor with marlboro or any other cigarette i think not worth trying...
If u want to quit cigarrete at least it worth to change your flavour i mean not need smoke the same thing....after all even with cigaretes we all changed cigs few times in our lifetime :p

Thanks for all the responses. He has tried tons of different flavors, the only ones he kept more than a day or 2 was the tobacco flavor juices. They were all from people he worked with etc. He dosen't know what flavors they were, just that they were tobacco flavors. That's why I asked for something similar to marlboro. Idk that it'll work, but I'm willing to give it a shot. I'm just starting to get back into diy, so I do a bunch of mixes. So it dosen't bother me to make a couple more. I make them at my desk while I watch TV. Its not like I'm losing anything by adding a couple more flavors. Plus he will buy the flavors, also he bought me a gallon of vg.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And after a while we vape bubblegum with roasted chicken with a touch of caramel :p

I think for the most part you're right. But there are some people on this forum who have been vaping for years and some of them are still chasing that holy grail. Some find it, but some just end up in a rabbit hole. They've probably tried every tobacco flavor out there in a 5+ year span and nothing satisfies their crave for a "real tobacco flavor", but they keep on following the rabbit hole, deeper and deeper.

The rest say, "meh, screw it, I like roasted chicken better any way"

I agree with what others have said (chasing that marlboro flavor is a waste of time... besides I hated marlboros anyway)
I like "tobacco" flavors but more like nutty, caramel, vanilla ones (I make my own DIY) There are other compounds in cigs besides nicotine... he may just blame the flavors because he is missing those other things (that is part of why it's so hard to quit) In the end, many people find a totally different flavor that works for them (not tobacco flavor) There is a guy here on ECF that would buy this certain tobacco flavored juice but they stopped making it... he has been posting for months about how to make something similar... don't think he ever found something that he liked.

There are a few Tobacco Flavors that help stave off the cigarette habit. Don't completely duplicate smoking but help put off that cigarette till you want it less & less. Its not magical, it takes Individual Effort & Discipline & "a little help from my friends"

Just an update, I have him a strawberry mix i made, he's doing OK with it right now, at 50mg. Used nic salt, he's using a mtl pod. I figured maybe part of his problem was to low a dose of nic ? I was making him 3 to 6 mg juices before...
