I'd prefer a sweet, flavorful vape juice with decent TH and vapor to help me transition from analogs. I purchased alot of DIY supplies from OnestopDIYshop and nic juice from boxelder. So, I'm new to vaping in general and haven't found/mixed a flavor/vapor/TH that really hits me right, until now. I'm posting this thread, because I'd like for one of y'all to mix a batch, taste it, and let me know your opinion and what you'd do to improve it. I've mixed about 150mL of different dissatisfactory juices. I'm in the learning stage and although I have my Android TW E-Juice calculator app (very nice for getting the ratios spot-on) and have glanced over some of the tips from members here, I know everyone's tastes are subjective. I've mixed some satisfactory menthol tobaccos, even though I smoked regulars, but the menthol's kinda tasty with the PV.

Now, a little info, and then the recipe in question...

I was a ~1.5pad smoker and will hit 1 month vaping on Thursday (not completely done with analogs/ have only had 4 analogs over this past week/ 2 packs, total since 2/10/2011/ I'm really close to done, they're starting to taste awful), so I dunno if my tastebuds and olfactory senses are back to "normal" yet. Flavors seem non existent or faint at best, thus far. My equipent is a egoT type kit, and I've read reviews on both sides of the fence regarding whether this set-up improved or detracts from flavors.

With all that said, here's the recipe in question:

Peach Chamagne

15 drops PGA
5mL VG
2mL PG
5 drops menthol flavor (mixed 1tsp powdered crystals/7.5mL PGA)
10 drops tobacco flavor (mixed 3 drops TA/10ml PGA)
20 drops TPA Peach flavor (OSDIYS)
15 drops TPA Champagne flavor
5 drops TPA Cotton Candy flavor (for sweetener)
2:4 mL 100mg/mL Nicotine Base (unflavored)

Please accept my preliminary thanks for anyone who gives this a whirl. It's much appreciated!

I calculate all my mixes with eJuice Me Up - e-Juice e-Liquid Recipe Calculator.

Thats waaaay too much PGA. Might get a buzz just off the alcohol from that much.

Make sure your TA is not pre-diluted. Most the sites already 50/50 it out for you. If it is pre-diluted it will take the PGA level in the juice even higher. Even diluted, 3 drops per 30 ml is a better starting point. The stuff is crazy strong and you will mask your other flavors your trying to add. I would do 1 drop per 30 ml, mix with all your other flavors, then add it back in slowly 1 drop at a time.

It's pure TA from onestopDIYshop. I'm new off analogs (not 100%), so the 'baccy taste is familiar. The mix I used for the tabacco flavor is only 1 drop more than the instructions from OSDIYS. Thanks for the suggestion, though. Think the PGA's really too high? I kinda like a lil ol buzz lol (wink-wink).

Stownz is right on.

I'd also add that many TPA flavors are relatively weak, making complex juices such as yours difficult to get right without using a very high percentage of flavoring. The only TPA flavors I currently use are Green Apple (for tartness, at about 3%) and Cotton Candy (as a sweetener, at up to 2.5%). Other than the TA, menthol and CC, I think your flavor percentages need to be increased substantially (and lower your PG to accommodate). Just my opinion.

I’m going to assume 30 drops = 1 mL.

Peach Champagne

3.9% -- 0.45 mL -- 15 drops PGA
43.4% -- 5mL VG
17.4% -- 2mL PG
1.3% -- 0.15 mL -- 5 drops menthol flavor (mixed 1tsp crystals/7.5mL PGA)
2.6% -- 0.3 mL -- 10 drops tobacco flavor (mixed 3 drops TA/10ml PGA)
5.2% -- 0.6 mL -- 20 drops TPA Peach flavor (OSDIYS)
3.9% -- 0.45 mL -- 15 drops TPA Champagne flavor
1.3% -- 0.15 mL -- 5 drops TPA Cotton Candy flavor (for sweetener)
20.9% -- 2.4 mL 100mg/mL Nicotine Base (unflavored) [PG or VG?]

11.5 mL total, 20.9 mg/mL, 43% VG

PGA to VG ratio is 1:11, which is fine.
Tobacco flavoring seems a little high.
Peach, Champagne and Cotton Candy are low. I’d double all of them.

If you want sweet juice, sucralose will work better for sweetener than Cotton Candy. If you have TPA Sweetener, try adding 1 drop per 2 mL of recipe as a start.

Remember that it takes some steeping time for juices to develop their full flavor. You can speed it up by doing as member Hoosier suggests: cap the bottle tightly and drop it into a cup of hot water; after heating for a few minutes, take the bottle out, shake it vigorously, then put it back in the cup until it cools.

I fogot that the nicotine base is PG. So, I should be leaning more toward 15-20% flavor with the TPA flavors? I have some sucralose in transit (Mr. Mailman??!!), so I'll be making some headway with the sweetener soon. And, yes, my measurements come out to 30 drops/mL. Thanks Max (diggin the Bill avatar lol), upStomp and Stowns! I'll be attempting another batch later this afternoon. I'll bump up the flavor concentrate and try to back-off the PGA (bye-bye buzz lol ).
